This tour was a highlight of our trip to Peru! Walking with the alpacas was so much fun - it took them a little while to warm up to us but once they did they were so cute and sweet! The hike itself was beautiful as well, and we had a great time collecting leaves to use in the dyeing process. Learning about the steps that go into processing the alpaca wool into yarn, as well as dyeing, strengthening, and ultimately weaving with it was fascinating. This was a beautiful day and we would highly recommend this experience.

This tour blew me away! From the first moment, Edwin and his team were so professional and generous with their time, knowledge, and patience. Walking with the alpacas was SO much fun, and getting to participate in the dyeing of our own yarn alongside the local weavers was so special. Edwin even offered to take us to a local animal sanctuary we drove past - unfortunately the day ran a little long so we weren’t able to, but it was such a thoughtful offer! I would absolutely take this tour, or another of PPT’s offerings, again!

Fantastic tour with knowledgeable guides! Edwin's passion for the Andean culture was infectious, and Bernabe's careful driving made us feel safe and secure throughout the journey. Rainbow Mountain was a sight to behold, and we're grateful for the opportunity to experience it with such great guides!
