From start to finish my husband and I really enjoyed this tour. Our host Lars was very knowledgeable and fun, we learned a lot from him and he was an extra in some of the Game of Thrones seasons!!

Lar was an amazing tour guide, couldn't possibly find someone better suited for the job. The stops were incredible, loads of information while also being surrounded by Ireland's beauty. Everyone gets cloaks that they hike in for the day, but they don't get too hot or uncomfortable, at the end everyone gets a sword/banner/shield to take one of the coolest pictures ever. Would absolutely recommend doing this, if you live and breathe Game of Thrones, or if you're a new fan, this tour is something special.

An amazing day seeing a bunch of outdoor sites where scenes from the early seasons of Game of Thrones was shot. Lar, our guide, was an extra in the Battle of the Battle of Hardhome, the Battle of the Bastards, and the Battle of the Frozen Lake as a Wildling chieftain in the first two and one of the dead in the last one. He showed us scenes on his tablet and photos showing where we were, stories on set, and also what they CGI’d and what the had to build out to create each scene. And during the tour, I won the trivia challenge via tiebreaker and was crowned “The King In the North” and was able to pick my sword (John Snow’s Longclaw, of course) for the final location video and photos. Be advised, the walk (more of a hike) is over 5 miles in total with a brisk pace, so make sure you have good joints and mobility.

This was one of the top favorite things I did while in Dublin, Ireland. I absolutely loved this tour and would highly recommend it! It was adventurous and fun. I love the stops along the way. I thought it was fun and different to wear the cloaks but was advantageous to wear for the weather! They really kept us warm. Not just props but warmth as well!!
I also loved the tour guide, Lar! He was totally in character and loved his tablet & pictures presentation and his explanation of each scene as it related to the show. He was very animated and energetic!
One of the first things I did when I got back home to California was to rewatch the entire 8 seasons. It was then that I realized how much I missed the first time I watched it!
I shared with family & friends that this was such an awesome experience and one of the best things I booked!
Sláinte!
Rose D.

If you are in Dublin and are a fan of Game of Thrones, this tour is time well spent.
Lar, who led my tour, was an extra on the show and provided very entertaining and insightful commentary throughout. He and the tour company have definitely done their research and are well prepared to guide you through each of the destination stops. Many opportunities for pictures and a good bit of exercise as well. Highly recommended!

The scenery was breathtaking and Lars stories about where things were filmed were really terrific. And the driver was incredibly skilled we have told everybody about this trip. It truly really was amazing. We’re Game of Thrones fans, but even if you weren’t the senior, the woods winter fell and the Abbey or just amazing just five star experience.

Very fun - would recommend! Admittedly season 8 put me off the show a fair bit, so I was hesitant to do a long day on a bus, but this was really great.

Our guide was very entertaining and knowledgeable. It was fun visiting the sites and being able to get the backstory for, for example, how they made things look snowy, etc. Also, it's hard to overstate how fun it is to be wandering around in the cloaks.

There were plenty of bathroom breaks, though not intrusively so. There was a breakfast opportunity to grab some hot food and snacks at a rest stop on our journey north. The lunch was a stop at a restaurant where folks ordered ahead - the food was really good and the prices were reasonable; better than I expected from the day.

The bus rides themselves were also not boring like some tours can be - we were either getting fun information or watching behind the scenes videos from GoT.

GOT Winterfell tour from Dublin Ireland ID#: 952964286 This was a fantastic GOT tour, led by Lar Fraser, an extra on the series with stories of his experiences during filming. We were even able to see him in the film clips but you had to look fast! He was a humorous, engaging and very organized guide! I am so glad I did this tour as we saw beautiful Ireland places and Lar made them transform into actual scenes in the film. I highly recommend for all fans of GOT. This tour and the fabulous guide Lar will be a treasured memory in my life.
