For safety reasons, mountain clothing is necessary for this activity. In case you do not have the appropriate clothing you will have the option to rent.
The trailhead is only 15 minutes from the city, where the peat bog begins, and multiple wild trails that become more and more challenging appear.
After crossing a river, the path goes deeper into the Fuegian forest, where lengas and guindos accompany you as you move towards the tree line in a 600-meter elevation gain climb.
The last part of the trail takes place on high-mountain terrain with a challenging incline that finishes when we get to Tempanos lagoon. If the weather is favorable and if the group of hikers is in good condition, we will go around the lagoon to approach the Vinciguerra glacier and look at its cracks and moulins.
Afterward, we will take the same trail back to the transfer that will take you to your hotel.

We trekked to the Vinciguerra Glacier at the beginning of June and I recommend going with a guide. Manuel and Carlos were very attentive and gave us valuable tips along the way on when to put on more clothes to withstand the cold, for example, and where we could take them off. Arpon Trekking included a very tasty snack, a hot drink on the glacier (it alone would have paid for the trip lol), gloves, poles, crampons and health insurance, which I thought was great. I recommend!

A while ago I returned from doing Vinciguerra Glacier with Arpon Trekking. The experience I had has no name, the excitement of arriving and seeing the ice caves is something unmatched. The guides are geniuses. Everything is highly recommended from the moment you find out about the excursion to the moment you experience it. 10/10.

The trail to Vinciguerra is a little demanding at times, but the beauty of the place, the charm of the glacier and the feeling of intimate contact with nature make every inch worth it. The Arpon guide, Léo, was very careful, set a good pace and brought safety and lightness to the walk. A nice lunch and hot drink make all the difference when hiking for many hours and the trail equipment also helps a lot, all provided by Arpon.
