1. The Dakota
Our first stop right in front of the Dakota house is an historic apartment building located on the northwest corner of 72nd Street and Central Park West. The building became famous worldwide when John Lennon, an ex-member of The Beatles, was murdered.
2. Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine
The Cathedral of Saint John the Divine (Cathedral of Saint John the Divine) is the largest Anglican cathedral in the world and serves as the seat of the archbishopric of the Episcopal Church of New York.
3. Columbia University
The University of Columbia founded in 1754, is the oldest higher education institution in the State of New York, the fifth oldest in the United States, and one of nine colonial colleges founded before the American Revolution. It is part of the Ivy League and is one of the most prestigious universities in the world, ranking among the 10 best universities in the world according to numerous rankings.
4. Flatiron Building
The Flatiron Building is an emblematic skyscraper of the city of New York, designed by the architect Daniel Hudson Burnham in 1902. Since its construction, it is one of the most famous buildings in New York.
5. Washington Square Park
Famous square in the Greenwich Village neighborhood around New York University. We will see the Arch of President George Washington (1892), who was the first president of the United States.
6. Battery Park
The Battery (formerly known as Battery Park) is a public park of 25 acres (10 ha) located at the southern tip of the island of Manhattan. The park contains attractions such as an old fortress called Castle Clinton; multiple monuments; and the sea glass carousel. The surrounding area, known as South Ferry, contains multiple ferry terminals, including the Staten Island Whitehall Ferry Terminal, as well as boats to the Statue of Liberty National Monument.
