The route will start in Spain Square (Plaza de España) heading to Orient Square (Plaza de Oriente).
From the square itself, we’ll be contemplating the Madrid’s Opera House also known as the Royal Theatre (Teatro Real) and Madrid’s Royal Palace (Palacio Real) known to be Europe’s largest palace based on floor area with a whopping 3400+ rooms and ‘just’ under 1.5 million square feet of floor space.
Before making our first stop in one of my favorite cañas & tapas bar, we’ll also look at Almudena Cathedral (Catedral de la Almudena) adjacent to the Royal Palace.
After our first refreshment, we’ll continue enjoying other pretty city landmarks like the Main Square (Plaza Mayor) and other beautiful hidden streets before finishing at the iconic cast iron vault of the San Miguel food Market (Mercado de San Miguel) where I can give you recommendations for you to enjoy an amazing variety of well-presented tapas bars.

Old Town Madrid tour was amazing. I went there with my ex girlfriend (good old days). It was a really good memory for me. I would definitely recommend.

This was my first trip to Madrid so it was important for me to get the most out of my time there. Luckily for me, Enrique provided a fantastic Madrid experience. He was genuinely interested in making sure the tour was both informative and interesting while at a relaxed and comfortable pace. He was thoughtful and down to earth -- just as if spending time with a familiar friend. His choice of tapas and wine was the perfect ending to our wonderful afternoon! Enrique not only guided us through the old town but he also helped us plan and organize the rest of our trip through Spain. So we got so much more than we bargained for!! As per the tour, he made our experience really memorable, explaining the relevant historical facts of every site, connecting history for us as we walked the beautiful streets of old Madri. When our walking inevitably led to rumbling stomachs, Enrique took us to his favorite Tapas bar where we tried many of the local treats accompanied by a great Spanish wine!! Great tour, great guide!

Enrique was so much fun to tour with. He was passionate about Madrid and Spanish culture and willingness to share his insights to life in Madrid. Enrique was fantastic company.
He took us to a special bar and provided real (not tourist) food that was really really really tasty. Best chorizo ive ever had.
He gave insight into every stop we made and every bite we took. He made time to learn a little about each of us and then related our likes to what we were doing!
A fantastic day together with him.
