We are the only ones to carry out eco-tourist activity of observation of cetaceans in the Gulf of Catania, respecting the international code of good conduct approved by the Agreement for the Conservation of Cetaceans in the Black Sea, in the Mediterranean Sea and in the contiguous Atlantic areas, as well as "Friend of the Sea" certificates thanks to our low impact on the environment.
Safety and professionalism in the navigation and monitoring of dolphins distinguish us, thanks to our crew always made up of technical skippers from the Italian motorboat federation and marine biologists with many years of experience in monitoring and protecting cetaceans in the Mediterranean.
Your contribution will be used to support the monitoring and conservation of cetaceans in the Gulf, and will allow the disadvantaged children of Catania to be hosted on board free of charge during our events dedicated to the protection of the sea and its vulnerable species.

We had a great time on the trip and saw more dolphins than we ever expected - even our guide, Carla, was moved to tears and said this was only the second time she had seen so many.
Carla was very knowledgeable and the captain was brilliant at finding dolphins. We even listened on the hydrophone to dolphins chatting.
This is run by a marine conservation group and what you pay helps to fund research so please go and learn about these amazing mammals and their lives.
Some points to note though. We had trouble working out where to meet as the address we were given was closed for building works- we went to the boat area opposite and some very helpful local boatmen helped us to find that the captain would pick us up there. The boat has no shade - it is a zodiac so take plenty of sunscreen and cover up. There were no suitable lifejackets for children (ours are 7 and 9 and fortunately good swimmers) but with calm seas and slow speeds we didn’t think this was a problem. Make sure children use the loo before you leave!!

This incredible trip has been the absolute highlight of our visit to Sicily. The crew were very knowledgeable and their care and close attention to ensuring we did not impact on the marine life was really appreciated. We were enthralled by being able to see dolphins up close, and being able to use the crew’s equipment to listen to the dolphins communicating to each other underwater made the trip all the more special. We would absolutely recommend this trip!

We had such high hopes for this tour, but sadly we were in the 20% who do not get to see anything. I know there is nothing the tour operators can do about this, but it was still understandably very disappointing.
We did rescue lots of trash from the sea, at least.
The team who took us out were lovely and knowledgeable. And it’s good to know that our money went to a charity not a company, especially under the circumstances.
Warning though - there is NO SHADE on the boat, so be warned about that.

Best fun ever. The crew are friendly and the dolphins love to show off. The trip out is calm and you get plenty of time to greet the dolphins.

The “Dolphin Sighting” tour March 28, 24 was canceled 2 days in advance due to bad weather. Upon request, we had an extra day on March 29th. kept free to be moved if necessary. This wasn't discussed at all; it was only when asked that they said that good weather wasn't to be expected here either. a little early to know 3 days in advance. In addition, the tour was for the alternative day March 29th. can still be booked via Viator. We have that
Feeling like there just weren't enough bookings. An ugly system. We will avoid Viator and the provider in the future.

Wonderful experience in respecting animals.
We had the chance to closely observe several dolphins in their natural environment and those early on.
Thank you to the two lovely people who supervised this enchanting sea trip and above all thank you to them for the work done to make it a protected area.

Really friendly knowledgeable guides, beautiful views and we saw loads of dolphins! A really magical experience and it all goes towards a great cause. 10/10, would definitely recommend you check it out!

Despite searching for a long time, we didn't see any dolphins. In such a case, it would be very nice to get a voucher for, say, 10-20% off for another tour. We would then certainly have tried again on the same holiday. But at this price, we had an unpleasant feeling.

The people from Marecamp were super friendly and passionate about their activities! We learned a lot about the marine life in the Gulf of Catania and their work to preserve and explore it further. The boat ride was nice and smooth, enjoyed a beautiful sunset. On top of it, we were lucky to see 2 different groups of dolphins and we stopped to enjoy the view of these magnificent animals!
