In Mexico we have a very strong tradition of muralism since the 30s. Today the concept of muralism has changed. The artists paint the streets to beautify the public space or resignify places where there is violence, etc. In our street art tour we will go sightseeing through city center; will see incredible murals by world-renowned artists as Koka, Saner, Seher, News, Smithe, Dhear, Sego and Obval, Minoz; explore the underground graffiti world by local and international artists.
We will talk about the local and international art projects and festivals, learn to identify different styles and techniques of graffiti and know more about the world of street art.
As the benefit of walking around the city we will talk about the landmarks of the best local studios, urban restaurants, bars and nightlife spots so you can enjoy your staying in Mexico. This tour is perfect to help those unfamiliar with Mexico City to settle into the experience.

Neene was a fantastic guide! She did an amazing job explaining the cultural and historical significance of the street art we saw as well as the architecture and other landmarks in the areas. I would highly recommend this tour! Street art tours are my favorite way to get to know a city.

My partner, my parents and I had a wonderful experience on this tour. Our guide was Ruben, and as a student of history, he was really great at not just telling us about each piece of art we saw, but also providing historical, political, and cultural context to each work. This was exactly what we were looking for.

This was a last minute booking, and it ended up being on of my favorite parts about my trip to Mexico. In addition to the street art, I also learned so much about Mexico City, the political environment, the history, how the streets are organized, and more. The street art was beautiful and so impactful. I highly recommend this tour!

This was really fun. If you have a couple of hours to see the city in a different light … don’t miss this one. I started to look at the street art in a different way. Our guide was great, he really showed us about the area through a natives eyes. My son and I were so thrilled we did this walking tour.

The tour director is very well organized and great with communication. If you are interested in art, art history, explanation of street art and graffiti, book this tour now! The guide, Estefania, is extremely well educated in art, art history, street art, graffiti and the current trends in the street art scene. She was able to more than answer all of our questions, including questions about the living walls and other things we saw around Mexico City while walking the city. Also, Estefania was especially a pleasure because of her enthusiasm for the subject matter. Great!

My guide, Ruben, was wonderful! It ended up being a solo tour, so I took full advantage of the opportunity to ask lots of questions. Ruben was very friendly (even when I couldn’t find the meeting point) and was clearly passionate about the city and the beautiful street art that covers it. I learned about the art itself, of course, but also about the context and the history behind it, which was super interesting. Definitely five stars!
