This tour will take us, together with a local guide, to discover the real Padua. We will take a walk around the city to discover the most important views and monuments. We will see Prato della Valle, the Basilica of Sant'Antonio or "Il Santo", destination of millions of pilgrims every year and a romantic mix of styles and cultures from all corners of the world. Along the cobbled streets and medieval porticoes we will reach the beating heart of the historic center. We will see the ancient Ghetto of the city which, with its narrow streets and clubs, has become a meeting place for young students. Then the squares, Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza della Frutta with views of the Palazzo della Ragione and often enlivened by the market stalls and the swarming of people under the "Hall". We will reach Piazza dei Signori, a meeting place for Paduans for an aperitif and once the home of the city's lords. Palazzo Bo, seat of the University of Padua. We will conclude the tour with a "Padua-style" tasting.

My family and I loved our tour of Padova with Martina, we learned so much. The small group setting allowed us to ask lots of questions and engage in conversation. Martina was knowledgeable, warm and lovely to spend the morning with. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic walking tour through the streets of Padua with our friendly and knowledgeable local guide Chiara. She had plenty to share about the history and culture of this beautiful city, and was keen to answer all of our questions, too. The tour enabled us to learn more about the main attractions of Padua, as well as about the lesser-known traits of the city and its people. It was very interesting and extremely enjoyable. Highly recommend it!

Perhaps it is not explained that "experiencing Padua like a local" means "like walking around alone"... and perhaps even worse, because with the burdens of being in a group of multilingual strangers. We are right in the Instagram era, where everyone is a tourist in the world and, even worse... everyone is a tourist guide and tour operator. The era of globalized indifference that has reduced the pleasure of traveling to two selfies and a lot of ignorance. A tour of extreme banality, no cultural, historical and artistic notion (in Padua!!!) that went beyond the anecdote that is acquired by reading two things alone on social media or on the web. What is unacceptable, the cost! €70 per person for a debasing trip, it's a steal! Avoid it completely. The certified guides of Palazzo del Bo, the botanical garden, the Scrovegni Chapel, the Santo, the Palazzo della
Reason and all the wonders of this city, they know how to offer an exceptional service at a cost not comparable to this theft! The city can easily be explored independently, so you don't need a caregiver or babysitter and the places of interest have their own authorized and trained guides.
Spend the €70 on a good lunch or a good dinner and a coffee at Pedrocchi where you will be taken as if you were incapable of entering a historic restaurant in the city on your own. I didn't give a rating just because Chiara is nice....but the tour deserves zero! Small aside: there were 5 of us, so €70X 5 with no entry… do your own math!

Viator needs to update meeting place. We almost canceled due to incorrect information. Chiara was wonderful! Very knowledgeable, informative, and patient with us. I would rate her a 5/5. Viator needs to let everyone know when signing up for a tour that WhatsApp will be used for communication from guide.

I loved it a lot. The streets of the old town of Padua, the great Basilica of Saint Anthony, the Pedrocchi cafe. everything is perfect and especially with the adorable Chiara, she was very available and the communication was very good 🤩 Chiara is a very pleasant and friendly girl I highly recommend excursions with her ❤️❤️❤️

I enjoyed our half-day small group tour of Padua and I highly recommend it! The pick up / drop off from/ to the hotel made it convenient. I particularly enjoyed the visit to the Basilica of St Anthony of Padua and our coffee break at the famous Pedrocchi, caffe Storico to try the Pedrocchi coffee with mint and pastries. Our nice driver/ guide speaks English well and very pleasant.

The view was amazing! I loved seeing the beauty the place had to offer. The tour guide was amazing at her job. She explained the history well, provided good sighting at the city, and allowed to take my time within churches. I was able to see the local markets, the locals themselves, the city, and the livelyhood of the area. If it wasnt for the tour, I would have never seen the places on my own.
She was very warm and friendly. She has a personality that makes you feel safe and comfortable to be around with. I would recommend going to this tour again with friends, family, or solo.

I can't say enough great things about my tour! I did this tour while baby wearing my 1-year-old. My tour guide was amazing. She spoke great English, was super personable and made us feel at home . She did a great job of incorporating a little bit of history of the city, sight seeing, as well as customizing the tour to our interests. We had some delicious snacks and I got to see parts of Padova that I would not have seen on my own. I truly felt like I was a local! If I had more time here, I would definitely check out the Eugenian Hills tour as well. Thanks again for taking us around Padua!
