Such a great tour! Austin, our guide, was so personable and knowledgeable. He took us all over the city and told us so much we never would have learned on our own. We saw everything we had on our list and then some. He was great with our kids too (16 and 9) and made it a memorable experience for all of us.

John was such a fun, upbeat, and knowledgeable tourguide! My mom and I were running late for our tour (jet lag!) and John could not have been more accommodating. He knew the city like the back of his hand and made the whole day feel very seamless and bespoke without us ever feeling rushed or scheduled. At one point, we were quickly able to duck into a cute cafe when it briefly began to rain and it felt like part of the plan! He obviously loves this city and now we do too.

This was an amazing tour! Just the right amount of history, sights and fun. Our tour guide John was so knowledgable and enthusiastic about Dublin that we fell in love with the city. He worked with me in advance of our tour to make sure he covered all of the things we wanted to see. Just the right amount of walking too - and he always stopped when any of us needed to. This tour covers all the Dublin bases, with a mix of fun facts and interesting side notes. Highly recommend doing right when you arrive in Dublin!

John Caffrey became a part of our family that day in Dublin, and we had a great time. I was surprised by all that we were able to cover in just 5 hours, but we were never rushed and there was always flexibility in the steps we took. I saw a Gelato spot and John made sure we got over there for a scoop! Johns Knowledge on historic facts is amazing and not limited to just the basic tour notes, as he was giving us real life details of the day to day in Ireland and Dublin from the past and today. With some great personalization thrown in, I would enjoy a pint with John any day any time! Oh, and we had the chance for John to take us on a Pub Crawl later, so you can tell we all had a great time.

This is a "must do" walking tour if you are not only interested in visiting the city but learning about the fascinating and complex history which makes Ireland and Dublin the place it is today. Austin Rock, our guide, was knowledgeable and passionate about all things Irish. His sense of humour had us laughing and the hours flew by. Thank you so much Austin for this insight into Irish history!
The tour, organized by Dublin Tour Guide, was professional from start to finish and I highly recommend using this company.

I have used Dublin Tour Guide-Private tours previously on trips to Ireland. This time I booked a private Dublin 5 hour Tour. Eamon was our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about all the sites we saw. He is very passionate about the Poets of Ireland and told us the most amazing stories about Dublin's famous poets. We walked all over Dublin and stopped at a traditional pub for a pint. We added on the Book of Kells to our tour which is a must do for anyone going to Dublin. Trinity College is beautiful and the story of the Book of Kells is fascinating. Thank you Eamon for a wonderful day and thank you to Dublin Tour Guide for setting up this tour for our small group. We joined Ciarán for the (Nearly!) All of Dublin tour and what a great guide. Beyond just raw knowledge of dates and sites, Ciarán is a student of history and explained the events and historical places in context of events of the time. And this was over the 2,000 years of Irish history! Charming, engaging and thoughtful, we greatly enjoyed the day. Top marks and thanks for a super day, including him sharing a “British” scone and a few of his “hidden” restaurants.

I’d also like to add that Ciarán also took care of the following days bookings for Christ Church and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Logistics were perfect.

John took us on a fabulous tour to see things in Dublin that we would not have known about otherwise. Very agreeable to adapting a bit if we expressed an interest in something. Thank you John. Much appreciated.
