Private City Tour around Phuket

I booked this noticing there would be 5 stops with an English speaking driver/guide, mainly for beaches which Phuket is so well known for. First it started with the driver showing up at a different port, we had to wait for over an hour for him to come to the port I was at. The minute we get into the van, we realized the driver only knew a few words of English. He gave us a large card with pictures, it appeared he wanted us to choose what we wanted to see, I told him we want to see beaches, he could not understand a word I was saying, so I ended up simply pointing to a photo with elephants in the ocean water, assuming he would understand the beach idea, so off we went. Enroute, there was i would estimate a 2 X 3 foot piece of plywood board that fell from the ceiling, it just missed our bare feet (wearing flip flops, ready for the beach). We arrived at the destination, there was elephants all right, but way up into the hills, no sign of any water or beach anywhere. We were not interested in riding elephants as we already did that in Chang Mai in the past, we got out of the van for restroom use only, when we got back in, we advised the driver to just take us back to the ship, did not understand that either. Then I reverted to "go home" he understood that. Now back in the van, he had just glued the plywood back to the ceiling and had the breath in strong toxic fumes all the way back to the ship.

Booked through Viator. I got a cancelation notice out of the blue. I tried to message them and got no response. Eventually I called Viator and they told me the vendor canceled because they didn't want to pick me up at the port.

This in an of itself isn't a problem, but not communicating that or giving me an option to meet somewhere else is very poor customer service.

Would not recommend for this reason.

Every place we were taken to Wonderful sights.
Driver was on time and knows his directions well. It would be perfect if he speak better English.

It’s like having a Limo take you around to all the cool sites. Our driver was great and very helpful/knowledgable. He even suggested a great restaurant for lunch. This is NOT a guided tour, but we really liked the flexibility to enjoy things at our own pace.

We were a group of 8. The driver and company provided excellent service, reliable and very safe and super friendly drivers

We booked a private tour for 8 people and our driver Boom was great at taking us around Phuket. We saw some great picturesque points and got some great photo. My favorite was the Big Buddha. Thank you for the great time

Very kind driver and we were able to have flexibility to build on the itinerary offered. Communication regarding the tour and logistics was excellent. This tour allowed us to see all the highlights of the area. Please note that our tour was a private driver who knew exactly where to take us and how to get us easily in and out of the attractions, but it was not a tour with commentary or information about the sites

The tour was advertised as having an English speaking driver but did not. This required me to call internationally to the tour operator to communicate with the driver and made the experience frustrating.

Overall we got to see the things we wanted but would choose a different operator in the future due to the dishonest description and added cost of phone calls.

The driver spoke so little English that this could not be considered a guided tour. If you know where you want to go, and if you have your own guide book, this is fine. I would have preferred to spend more for an English-speaking driver who could teach us a little about Phuket.

Excellent way to travel if in a large group - we had seven in ours. Driver picked us up from the hotel and took us to all the attractions we wanted to see and waited for us at each location. Even took us to an extra temple on the way to one of the sites we wanted to see. If you want a guided tour don't book this as it was customised to what we wanted. Driver's English was excellent.
