We had the time of our lives on our tours with Joe. We did a tasting tour in Melbourne, a daylong tour of Mornington Peninsula, and the Great Ocean Road tour. We saw so many amazing sights -- gorgeous scenery, koalas and kangaroos in wildlife sanctuaries and in the wild, a helicopter tour of the stunning 12 Apostles -- and the some of the best meals (and Australian wine) we've ever had! Joe was fun and funny and a fountain of information on any and every topic. We could not have asked for a better experience. Awesome in every sense of the word!

We just finished a wonderful three day tour with Marlene Walters. She guided us on a beautiful and informative trip from Adelaide to Melbourne, Australia. This driving trip covered many destinations along the way including many nature sites with caves, lakes, and waterfalls. We also visited many fun food sites, and, of course, several wineries. A special highlight was an Australian artist making gongs. We never would have known about him on our own. Marlene was extremely knowledgeable and always knew the best places to visit. She also figured out our tastes along the way, and kind of started to guess where we might be interested in going. She is likely better informed than most Australians about the local plants and animals, and where best to find them. She could always pick out hard to find birds hiding in trees, or chirping in the background. She also seemed to know secret hangouts for koala bears, and even knew the precise time penguins would start parading back up the beach. Finally, she is just a very pleasant person to spend a few days touring with. She made our Australia trip very special. My wife and I give her the highest possible recommendation. (We have done several other private tours, and she was far and away the best of them all.)

Our guide Marlene Walters for this private tour was excellent. We would highly recommend her and this tour company (Localing). Marlene made the trip feel spontaneous while she had complete command of the sights that were en route, how to weave them together for us, and how to show us how exciting they were each day. She was super friendly, knowledgable about the flora, birds, and other fauna. Plus she offered multiple choices of places to eat and drink and each one we picked was brilliant. The transport vehicle was comfortable and we loved sharing our music preferences with Mally as she drove. We saw a very German Australian town, a grain silo with a mural on it, a sinkhole that became a beautiful garden, a crater lake that was specially blue, a cave where, in addition to big stalagmites and stalagtites, there were actual mega-fauna fossils. We visited a couple of wineries and some coastal lookouts where it seemed like we were the only people around.

My family and I spent two days with Marlene, the first to see the Penguin Parade and the second on the Great Ocean Road. My kid has mobility issues, and I really appreciate how she tweaked our tours to make sure they had a great experience.

Her knowledge of the area was great, and it seemed like every place we visited she was able to point out small things and provide experiences that other people might miss, like taking a couple detours to find some Koalas in the wild.

Thank you, we will certainly look into your tours again next time we are in Melbourne!

We were so fortunate to have a full day tour with Marlene. She was a lovely vivacious guide. She was very well informed and had eyes that found Koalas in treetops and the spot with the 18 kangaroos in the field. She is conversant with nature topics: animals and plants. She took us to the wonderful cheese factory. We spent the whole day with her and it was comfortable and easy. She is an excellent driver and found some lovely places to get a nibble. All in all--such a fabulous and wonderful day!

A spectacular day that was worth every minute with amazing views, great stops only to be enhanced by our entertaining and engaging guide Joe. If you are going to spend a long time with a guide it is a comfort to have someone so knowledgeable, flexible, affable and friendly.

We had a great time with Joe and Pat. Couldn’t have been a better introduction to the countryside around Melbourne. Not only did we see a lot, it was all tailored to our interests, either from information or from the sensitivity of our two guides to what we might like. A real added part of these tours is travelling with friendly, interested and intelligent people - like being shown round by friends. We couldn’t recommend it more.

This tour has been the highlight of our trip. We had the most amazing today with our guide Nico who not only provided (fun) facts about the area, but left us with a list of recommendations for places to explore on our own and to great enjoy food in Melbourne.
