Back in its glory days, Bucharest was known as Little Paris. It has the lights, the architecture, the fashion but most of all the SWEETS to prove it. Pastry chefs trained in France brought back the craft and talent and took the aristocracy from Turkish Delights to French Eclairs. In this 3-hour-long experience, we will go through the ages of sweets and pastries but also find out about the 500-year history of the city. Combining French, Oriental, and Balkan influences, Bucharest is the city of contrasts.

Our guide Mara was very friendly and patient. She was able to get to grips with our "very approximate" English. She introduced us to the riches of Bucharest, both cultural and gustatory. Thank you for your patience and kindness. We recommend 200%.

Not the kind of tour I would usually do but very glad I did. An interesting mix between Romanian history and culture, with added desserts. Mara's very passionate about her city and makes for an excellent guide.
Highly recommended
