You will walk through the neighborhood while your guide tells the story of the community and how it has developed, from the beginning to today. Following the same paths, the locals walk every day, you will experience the scenes and culture of this vibrant, friendly neighborhood. You will visit a supermarket and other local businesses, and see social projects that benefit the community. You will also see incredible views from the high hilltop and take pictures.
You will need to bring money, for donations to community charities, viewpoints, souvenirs, and Moto-taxi.

Me and my cousin did a tour in the Favelas and learned so much. We took incredible pictures, met some of the locals, and ate some of the best local food. We saved this excursion for last and it was by far the best experience ever. Our tour guide was insanely knowledgeable about the history, nice, and even a great photographer. I highly recommend his services. You’ll love it !

Caio was a fantastic tour guide. He's fun and so knowledgeable about the history and culture of the area. We learned so much during the tour and also enjoyed some really amazing viewpoints. I'd highly recommend doing this tour with Caio!

We had an excellent tour with Caio! It is definitely the most insightful walking tour I've ever done! Without ruining the surprise of the tour, we got a great understanding of the history of the Rocinha Favela, including how it is run today. We got delicious local snacks and drinks along the way. We were taken to some amazing view points where Caio put a lot of effort into getting us great photos. Caio was very informative, showing us things that we have never seen before, as we went along the alleys and paths of the Favela. I 100% recommend to a friend 😁

Very interesting and comprehensive tour of the Favella. Caio has a very good knowledge of the community having lived there and also established local relationships off the main streets. He has very good English and works hard to make the experience the best possible.

This Favela tour with Caio was one of the best tours we did in Rio. What an amazing experience!! We did not only get to see first hand how people live in a Favela, we also learned a lot about the history of these neighbourhoods as well as of Brazil. Highly recommend for a big surprise at the beginning of the tour as well👍🏻👌🏻 Thank you Caio! 👏🏻

It was a really good experience! The guide was very nice and friendly, and very informative and he took his time to explain and tell history. He let me take lots of pictures without stressing about the schedule etc.

I had a great experience with Caio. He has lots of first person experience living in a favela and he knows the history and living style there. He’s a good communicator, and did a great job building the bridge between local people and me, a tourist. If you have enough time I would highly recommend to go to the central city to see the first favela in Rio. Plus, Caio is a great photographer!
