Was so looking forward to this guided tour but our family of ten literally arrived three minutes late and they wouldn’t let us join. Super disappointed. The Google map directions was on drive not walking so it took us down one ways. The tour guide def could’ve accommodated us. Won’t use them again and so not recommend

The statue of David is a spiritual experience. It was even better to have an expert tell us about it.

Francesca was so knowledgeable and spoke clearly. The background she provided was so helpful in understanding the magnificence of this piece of art. Our group was large but we had a radio and earbuds which worked well. Good tour!

We totally lucked out on two levels: we had a small group of 4, and Amadeus was our tour guide. He is passionate about art, Michelangelo, and imparting his knowledge to everyone in the group. He took us on a 90 minute tour through the Academy, ending in front of the statue of David, and we had a thorough understanding of what David meant to the not just the world of art, but to the Italians during Michelangelo's time. The museum counts how many people are allowed in at any point, so it's not a scrum as say, the Mona Lisa at the Louvre, but you have plenty of time to linger, admire, and actually be really close and see all the art and marvel at it at your leisure. Thank you, Professor Amadeus!
