Montreal bagels are world famous for their shape, taste and texture. A trip to Montreal isn't complete until you've tried one of these amazing bagels. So why not try your hand at making them yourself? We will teach you the secrets on how to make some deliciously unique authentic Montreal style bagels at home, the easy way.
We will start by learning how to properly mix and knead the dough. We will discuss how different flours and water amounts affect the final texture of the dough and crust. I have adapted the best Boulanger (Bread Maker) techniques to the home kitchen. You will become a confident baker at home in no time!
We will go step by step from mixing the dough, letting it rest, to shaping the bagels, to boiling them, dressing them with various toppings, baking them and finally eating them!
This workshop is super hands on so this is far from the "Watch the pro" type workshops out there.

Core memory for our family on our recent vacation. We can’t wait to get home to make more bagels. Our instructor was excellent- so knowledgeable, professional, & fun. Food always has a way of bringing people together.

This was a fantastic experience. Will was an amazing teacher and Montreal bagel representative. Will led a very engaging, informative, and efficient bagel making class. It was easy to follow along, even with a wide range of baking skills in the class. I would recommend every first time visitor to Montreal take this class to gain a deeper understanding of the bagel culture of Montreal and to learn life long baking skills.

My wife and I spent a terrific 2 hours learning the details of bagel baking from (also) entertaining chef Will Paquet - bio on his website. Very well organized and presented. Printed take-home instructions. Absolute recommendation.

What a fun experience! A way to learn about the neighborhoods, people, other travelers and of course, make bagels.
Professional, organized, patient and funny - couldn’t ask for a better host.
Tip: place was kind of a walk from the metro & bus transfer was confusing for us - so be sure to allow enough time if you are navigating this area for this first time.

Will did an excellent job with our great bagel making class. He kept a good tempo to the whole thing and everything flowed through very smoothly. He reminded me of a chill Joshua Weisman. I highly recommend this class!

This experience was fantastic! The host was very personable, and it was great to meet people from all over North America and learn how to make delicious bagels. Easy for anyone to do, and when people are struggling the host comes around and helps. Nice laid back environment and lots of fun!
