If you are in Naples don't miss the chance to visit The Museo di Capodimonte, one of the most important Italian museums; its art collection is made by the Farnese and Borbone collections. The museum preserves also a series of paintings coming from Neapolitan churches, among them two Caravaggio masterpieces.

It was a beautiful and very rich Museum, of which very few traces remain today. The Director, with his long-term loans, adopted the practice of most traders: to decrease the supply at an unaltered price. At a modest €15, we can admire only the second floor on Sundays (one third of the museum, at the same price, compared to weekdays). Think that the Louvre is entirely open for only two euros more. Recommendation: Propagate the park, because at least that is, at the moment, non-transferable.

An interesting visit, particularly for Spaniards, for historical connections
with the kingdom of Naples in the 18th century. Charles III was, in the first place, king of Naples. The current museum and gardens are located in the old Reggia built by Charles III. It currently houses collections from the 18th century mainly. It is interesting to visit the rooms of the palace to which access is allowed and the collection of Ciccio, reached from one of the rooms of the Farnese collection. The palace is surrounded by a forest, you can walk through some gardens. It is accessed from the gate of San Genaro up the slope of Capodimonte.

Not worth booking. There are no queues that justify pre Reservation. The museum was empty. By the way, at 4:00 they closed the 2nd floor. And only gave to visit the 1st floor and the garden. The caravaggio is not in the museum. A great disappointment! I don't advise anyone. Even because Capodimonte is far from the center and there is no good transport. I paid a very expensive taxi. The Listing is misleading. It seems to be a guided visit but it was the worst experience of Naples. The simple ticket would be mt cheaper!!!

We stayed in this museum for the second time, taking advantage of the first Sunday of free museums in Campania, and I must say that despite the work in progress and some rooms closed for restoration we could still enjoy the beautiful exhibition on the paintings of Caravaggio and the beautiful gardens of the palace that I must say very well cared for. What else to say if not recommend at least once to go there.

Unresponsive and unhelpful service. Beware also, they sell products (ie, museum tickets) that you can buy more cheaply and easily directly through the site/museum you are visiting.

I returned to this wonderful palace after several years.
The well-kept park, like the museum.
I really appreciated the exhibition choice of the art gallery, just a shame I could not enjoy some rooms closed for work.
Price of the entrance ticket derisory compared to the wonders that this Bourbon jewel allows you to appreciate.

Touch and go on Republic Day with free access to the museum. Caravaggio not received. Route of the art gallery in progress. I had other childhood memories. We still enjoyed walking in the woods and views of the city.

The museum is under renovation but fortunately accessible anyway. Very nice definitely worth it. The immense and well maintained gardens.

Huge collection of beautiful art- with few tourists! Definitely a hidden gem. You could spend half day just touring the art collection, but we were overwhelmed after 2 hours.

They were renovating the site, but they did a great job of moving the artwork to other rooms for viewing. The location of the museum is looks like there can be a lawn partying from the 1880s or Downtown Abby. You can spend hours here. They were nice and allowed us to enter prior to our timed ticket slot.
