Basilica of Santa Croce is one of the most beautiful churches of Florence and the largest Franciscan church in the world; it is also known as the Temple of the Italian Glories, as many important artists, writers and scientists, including Michelangelo Buonarroti, Galileo Galilei, Gioachino Rossini, Ugo Foscolo and Leon Battista Alberti are buried here.

The church is very beautiful and traditional. The interior of the basilica is rich and there are the tombs of memorable personalities of history. It's worth a visit.
The sad note is that the service leaves negative marks. The staff are fat and as the church is close to closing time they turn aggressively towards the tourists. It was a disappointment.

Excellent visit even if due to the concomitant presence of the Florentine football event on the field traditionally in the square in front of the basilica we had to speed up the visit

It was very hard to find the person in charge of exchanging the voucher
they give bad instructions, not clear for someone just getting there as
there are 2 number 17 on
the piazza and nobody know anything about viator

viator, you should identify your staff with colors and big tags!!

finally, after calling and contacting the support i met the guy who was nice

the place is amazing

Do NOT book tickets through Trip Advisor. After you have meticulously planned and scheduled your trip, you will, days before your trip find out that you are not confirmed, even if you have gotten tickets saying you are. You will even get almost daily confirmations that are not valid. Buy tickets through the place itself. We were sent tickets the morning after when we're scheduled to go and could not get in.
They are not giving us a refund either. Very disappointed to not have seen such a special place.

Our forgettable part was the incomplete voucher for our ticket that was sent by viator. Was this viators problem?

The Basilica of Santa Croce leaves me fascinated by its beautiful beauty, it is the largest Franciscan church in the world, its sixteen chapels, each with charm, many of them decorated with frescoes by Giotto.
One of the first things that catch your attention when you enter this church is the number of tombs there. On the floor and walls it is possible to observe them as there are 276 in total.
It was here that he found the graves of some of the most illustrious Italians, such as Michelangelo, Galileo Galilei, Machiavelli and Rossini, and for this reason it is nicknamed the Pantheon of Italian Glories.

Could not make it to Florence due to last minute weather that affected the cruise itinerary. Refund request was denied despite this. Buyer beware. Not a good company.
