CANCELLATION POLICY

I was given a "voucher" several weeks before the event and told when I would be able to visit the clock tower on the day agreed to and where I would be able to 'redeem' my voucher. I tried to get clarification on why I did not simply get a ticket and a time. After several attempts before I left for Venice , I tried again the DAY BEFORE and finally got an email back saying so sorry they could not get tickets. So I went to the hotel concierge and they got me two tickets for the same day, so much for Viator. I'll also add that a tour I booked with Viator for the day before was cancelled on me only two hours before before the tour was to begin, so two out of three tours through them in Venice were SOL. Ruined a good part of my time in Venice.

This is the second time in a month that Viator has cancelled a tour on me. I will not be using this company in the future. I was to have this tour on my first day in Venice. I had a paid confirmation but was unable to pull up my ticket. I texted and called Viator. Each time they said they were sending my ticket but it would never come up. A person does not actually need the physical ticket. I have done several Viator tours and they only want your name when you show up. The only thing I really needed was the meeting point. The tour guide actually holds the electronic tickets. However, instead they just canceled my tour. No excuse for this kind of service. Stick with THE TOUR GUY for all your tours. They are much more organized. They even did tours that only my husband and I were at. Viator cancels for only 2 people. THE TOUR GUY also holds up a red flag making them much easier to find in a crowd of tourist. The Viator groups just stand with no sign hoping you find them.

One of the Renaissance monuments located in St. Mark's square. You can also go top. I think this tower is one of the most important things which make up Venice's fabric.

What experience? There are at least 4 references on their website about this clock tower tour being a guided tour by a professional guide. So we get there at the appointed time and place and we can't find the guide. Now we are running around between the Correr Museum where we are supposed to meet and the clock tower, and still no sign of a guide. Then we started to call and email Viator. By the time they replied back and said it's not a guided tour even though I pointed out and send them pictures it's a guided tour in black and white on their own website, but they still didn't tell us where we are supposed to go up to the clock tower. I asked for a refund and Viator refused saying the tickets are not refundable.

To visit the clock tower it is mandatory to book online
Ticket price 15 euros.
You will find yourself 15 minutes earlier at the Correr museum where you collect your tickets and wait for your guide.
To access there are very narrow stairs but the route is easily doable for healthy people (abstain if you suffer from vertigo).
Our guide was prepared.
We loved hearing the story
Breathtaking view of Piazza San Marco.
The sunny day despite the cold made everything even more evocative.
Absolutely a stop not to be missed

It’s a very beautiful and interesting discovery that we made thanks to our passionate and charming guide.
From the architecture to the mechanism to the history, the visit was very enriching.
Access to the terraces of course allows you to approach the articulated ringers and bells but also to benefit from a breathtaking view of St. Mark's Basilica and the roofs of the city.

I originally wanted to make an appointment to visit the Bell Tower in San Marco, but I made an appointment at the Clock Tower out of confusion, but it brought an unexpected surprise. This less popular attraction than the Clock Tower is well worth a visit. The guided tour arranged through the museum is very exciting. The observation deck on the clock tower and the small observation deck on the roof are excellent viewing spots overlooking St. Mark's Square and the church.

Did you know you can go up to the very top of this beautiful clock tower?

We booked online for the 50 minute tour and it was definitely the highlight of our trip!

If you’re scared of heights, don’t go onto the roof, but each stage of the tour is a different floor, showing all the workings of the old clock, and the ringing of the bells by the shepherds on the roof.

Yes, there are many steps to climb, but as it’s done in stages, it’s not difficult.

It’s incredible! And the guide (Alex) was so knowledgeable and shared with confidence and charm.

You meet at the Musee Correr about 10 minutes before the tour, and walk over with the guide.

We loved it! Brilliant!

This tour is so underrated, it was informative and scary, definitely don’t go if you suffer with vertigo, nothing to hold onto at the top. You get your tickets from Correr museum €14 that’s with the museum as well. We walked up narrow spiral staircase, it was explained how the time keeper and his family used to live there, the weight system has changed but still a spectacular movement . Great views of the square.
