The guide, Leann, was absolutely fantastic. I have been at the Statue before, but Leann gave so much information. It was such a better experience. It was a hot and humid day with large crowds, but she made it so fun that you really didn’t mind standing in the lines for the ferries.

There is such a disconnect between Viator and the local tour operators. I paid a lot of money for a lot of attractions but only received a ferry ride. I did NOT receive the guided tour but I paid for it! I did NOT receive entry and admission into the Statue of Liberty but I paid for it! I did NOT receive entry and admission into the Ellis Island museum but I paid for it! I received tickets for a 5:30pm entry and admission into the 911 museum which closes at 5:30pm. The local operator stated that some the items listed below aren’t even offered by them. Viator is falsely advertising what the local operators offer but scamming us out of our money. I am still waiting on a refund. This is similar to my experience in Washington, D.C. with Viator. I believe in 3 strikes and you’re out but with all of the money Viator scammed me out of on this vacation, I am completely done with them.

The entire experience was amazing. Having a guide with a small group made it easy. Guide was friendly and spoke to each of us. She answered all the questions from my grandson.

Although Nina was knowledgeable about the history and landmarks of NYC, she was rude and racist!! We had people from all over in our group with language barriers and a few with health issues. She said oh well they don't understand me and that's sad let's go when people needed to stop to drink their water. She rushed and didn't enjoy her job. She even pushed a kid!! I would never do this again, I'd hire the cities tour guide instead of Viator!

We arrived at the meet-up location (Starbucks) to be greeted by Cesar, the tour guide, who informed us that there will be noone available to give us a guided tour of 9/11 Memorial Ponds. I paid for a full guided tour of all 3 locations: Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and 9/11 Memorial Ponds. He started the tour with information and history of the Statue of Liberty and a general history synopsis of Ellis Island. The tour started off great as he walked is over to the line to wait for the ferry to Liberty Island. Once we arrived to the gate and ticket entrance, he got us through and headed to the security clearance entrance and that’s when things ended with him. He told us we were on our own for the rest of the tour.

I paid for a FULL GUIDED TOUR and did not get that!!!

I understand it was a holiday since the tour was on the 4th of July. However, the tour guide failed to fulfill the description of the tour. I will be requesting a refund.

Leanne Littlestone was amazing! Please remember to bring cash so you can tip her at the end of the tour. She deserves it. Unfortunately, we did not have cash and the company did not have an option to give a cashless tip. Highly recommend her and recommend the company permit/allow cashless tips.

We had a great time. Our tour guide was so engaging and knew so much more than you can normally find. There is a lot of transitions from place to place and waiting in line to get on the ferry etc so she filled that time with all kinds of facts and stories. It was a very long tour and we didn’t stop for food formally unless you for something while at either Ellis Island or Liberty Island. If you’re going to all 3 locations, you’ll only had about 30-40 minutes at both islands so if you booked pedestal or statue tickets for your time on the island you won’t have enough time to do that. We had a blast and learned so much. Thank you LeeAnn!!

I would have NOT been able to navigate this whole experience on my own. It was comforting having a guide to make sure I got to where I needed to be. Not to mention Vivian was a hoot. True New Yorker! Her tips helped me make the most of my tour. Loved it!

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and kind. Unfortunately hardly anyone could hear her unless you were right next to her. I wished we would have booked these places on our own.

I thought transportation between locations would be provided, but was mistaken since there is lots of walking.

The best part was the 911 Memorial and Musuem.
