Why should you consider our tour? There are many compelling reasons! First and foremost, it offers a one-of-a-kind adventure through Akumal's lush jungle. You'll feel the exhilaration of riding an ATV through challenging terrain and revel in the refreshing experience of swimming in a stunning cenote, a unique natural freshwater pool exclusive to this region.

After the ATV experience, our expedition continues at the Akumal Monkey Sanctuary, it's important to note that this particular tour does not include monkey bonding. Instead, we will get to see all the primates and lots of other rescued animals.

This offers a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and a close connection to nature.

Moreover, it's not just an adventure; it's an opportunity to make a positive impact. The Akumal Monkey Sanctuary is dedicated to the welfare of animals. Your participation supports their crucial work in rescue, rehabilitation, and care.

Very pleased. Guides were flexible with ATV ride. Fast riders were allowed to go fast and slow riders were allowed to go slow. Cenote was cool as hell and refreshing. I think getting 20 or so minutes to swim in the cave was adequate. The monkey sanctuary was cool and bonding was fun. Easily worth the price for a half day trip.

Knocking a point off since I still haven't received my photos that I paid for yesterday. I don't have any of my own so it would be nice to get those.

I love animals and nature so this was the perfect excursion, not too long, full of information & fun. This trip was a Father’s Day gift to my husband that we both enjoyed. From the guides, to transportation and cleanliness of the sanctuary everything was great!!

Everything was excellent. The ATV tour was exhilarating, the cenote walk was gorgeous, and the animal sanctuary was a one of a kind educational experience. Absolutely recommend.

This tour was nice - but very very rushed. We were picked up by the company and as soon as we got there we were told we would need to buy bug spray and face coverings, but at the same time, that we were late and needed to hurry. The tutorial on the ATV was very brief, but it was easy to get the hang of and very fun. The cenote was super cool, but again, rushed to change to get in the water, and rushed getting out. What they didn’t tell us is that after the cenote and after the ATV ride back, we would get the chance to shower and change - which would have been great to know, since it was very dusty, and we put our clothes on over our swim stuff since we were so rushed, and it turned to caked on mud, and we didn’t have anything to change into. There seemed to be a lot of animals around, but again we were rushed through and didn’t get to stop and look. Monkey bonding experience was very brief, but awesome. Lunch was a basic sandwich, which was fine. Overall, a good tour, but would benefit tremendously from slowing it down and letting guests have more time to enjoy things.

We did the ATV tour, cenote swim, and monkey sanctuary tour during this outing. The guides were super friendly and made sure everyone stayed safe. The ATV ride was exhilarating, and cooling off in the underground cenote afterwards was very refreshing. Definitely pay the extra fee for the monkey bonding! I almost passed on it, but ended up so glad I did it.
My only minor complaint is we waited longer than expected/past the scheduled start time at the sanctuary (before the ATV portion started)

Kudos to the guides, they really nailed it!

This was a really fun trip . Will say the atv course is INCREDIBLY dusty but we got to go to the cenote and were able to use the locker room showers afterwards so it worked out.
Cenote was completely underground and too dark to take pictures but was pretty cool to see.
The Akumal sanctuary was an interesting experience . Our tour guide was very passionate and informed on the animal species.
Also loved that transportation was includedand didn't take all day to pick up/ drop off.

This excursion was great. The ATVs were fun, the swimming at the cave was a great break, and seeing the monkeys was fun. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. My only issue is that booking through Trip Advisor the interactive monkey experience wasn't included. Everyone else got to interact with a monkey but that wasn't included in what I purchased.

We did the ATV Tour, which ended up being more than we bargained for - in a good way. We were a bachelor party of 7 guys in their 30s. The pickup van was right on time at a hotel down the road from where we were staying, had AC and a great driver. Arrive at the Sanctuary where they quickly get everyone checked in, forms filled out, then lay out the day for you. The facility is brand new looking, very clean with some expansion work going on. Bathrooms, lockers etc.

We thought the trip would just be an ATV tour, but first you get a hour-ish long tour of the sanctuary with some basic farm animals (pigs, deer, goats) that are largely roaming free and enjoyed the human presence. Then you are taken through some of the more exotic (to Americans) animals - monkeys, wild cats, macaws. The guides are fairly knowledgable - the tour feels aimed at kids primarily, but we all had a good time. You get a picture/photo op with holding a macaw and a snake. The Sanctuary has photographers who will take photos that can be purchased at the end of the tour, but you are also free to take them yourself. FYI the monkey play-time is not included in the ATV package. We didn't opt for it, though some other folks we were grouped with did. Didn't bother us, and we were kept busy while the other folks did that.

After getting some refreshments and an opportunity to change, use restrooms etc, you get prepped for the ATVs. As someone who is familiar with ATVs, I appreciated the minimal "training" that goes on. ATVs aren't complicated, and I know in America there wouldve been like a half hour training video or something youd need to watch. That being said - if you are someone who is uncomfortable riding an ATV for the first time, it may feel a bit light. The staff are amazing, and I'm sure if you asked them questions they'd spend the time.

We set out as one long line on the ATVs - the first half of the ride is on a wide dirt road. It was hot and before the rain season, so there was a ton of dust being kicked up - you will either want to bring a mouth covering or buy one (15$) from the gift shop. Visibility is LOW but the path is wide and easy to navigate for the first half.

Second half, the path is considerable narrower, and you are going up and down small rocky hills. It is not difficult to navigate at slow speeds; however at high speeds, we had someone in our group end up in the bushes. Guides quickly sorted it all out, kept the group together, etc.

Where you end up is the coolest Cenote we experience while there. I honestly don't want to ruin the surprise, so just trust that it is super worth it.

This was the first activity we did for the bachelor party weekend, and everyone loved it. You get a really wider variety of experiences in a short but not rushed amount of time. Given transportation for foreigners in Tulum can be a bit time consuming / difficult (just language barrier, needing to have a taxi contact, wait times - would recommend a hotel or something that can help manage this for you) it was really nice to have a bunch of different things to do at one location.

Would go back again for sure. Much love to the team at the sanctuary.

Fun and very fast riding at times. The monkey tour was very fun. A little disorganized, but still fun. Very dusty, be prepared, make sure you bring a mask.
