Jet Boating Montreal's Lachine Rapids

A spur of the moment decision while walking in Old Port of Montreal. Fun, exciting, unusual, unique, very secure and definitely soaking wet adventure. (Bring complete change of clothing = needed.). Staff is amazing and helpful. Will go again and bring more friends.
For teenagers and adults. Not for children, as they will get scared guaranteed.

Fun and exciting way to cool off! I went on this experience when I was a teen decades ago and wanted my own kids to have the same amazing memories. It totally lives up to my memories of it and I’m sure they will remember it just as fondly.

The ride was great. The trip up on the jet boat is fun - lots of air. The view of Montreal from the river is great. The rapids are impressive - lots of white water. The crew were fun and knew their jobs. We were soaked multiple times. The dried out a little on the way back to Old Montreal. Do it.

The experience was fun and amazing. If you like to get wet, this is the boat for you. If you have kids, they will also love this, based from having 35 kids on my boat who were in a school trip

The BEST thing to do during a Heatwave while visiting Montreal! Great fun! Soaking wet. Absolutely a good choice to throw some fun into a family trip to Montreal.

Got very wet which was great. Got soaked. Big waves, powerful river. Was able to wash my hair in the rapids. Fast boat. Great views if the St. Laurence River.

Everything about the jet boating on the Lachine rapids is a laugh riot. The owner and the guides are all entertaining and great care is taken to keep everyone safe because this is a wild ride - think roller coaster (as one of the rapids is rightfully called) with tsunami waves. You will get very, very wet so be sure to bring a full change of clothes and a towel. It was cool the day we went and we were provided with nice, warm hot chocolate on return. We are planning to do it again and bring friends on our next visit to Montreal!

Do read similar negative reviews. We sat next to the engine. Went deaf by the end of it. Due to position, couldn’t hear the instructions. They need someone with a loud booming voice instead of a soft voice and more importantly that person needs to stand in the center if not the back where engine noise is loudest. Speed was fine for the boat. Just to set expectations, this is not like the thriller boat in the US.

Don't hesitate going, it'll be a solid experience. The crew was funny, the process was seamless, and the experience was the best part. So fun I would go again.

We had the best time! Despite the fact that it was overcast and windy and we didn’t listen so we didn’t have a complete change of clothes and had a 20 min walk back to our hotel sopping wet, it was all worth it! We used the provided ponchos, jackets - anything they provided and we still came back without a dry spot on us. Depending on the season or your plans after, bring a change of clothes since you will get completely wet! It was about a 15 min ride out to the rapids 30 min of fun and then 15 min back. We have done the big speed boats in Portland and other cities before - this is nothing like that! It’s more like an extreme version of the water rides at an amusement park but instead of a light splash you get hit with a wall of water. It was so fun and would absolutely do it again!
