Pastor was the most wonderful tour guide. The history and current information about Soweto and Johannesburg kept us learning and engaged throughout our tour. The visit downtown to the coffee shop was great. We would highly recommend.

Wet knowledgable guide who kept us fully informed about the city. Really appreciated the visit to Soweto itself.
There were some issues for us. We were not informed about buying sweets for all the small children in Soweto (not that I have issues with spending on them but it was really uncomfortable lining up the children to receive sweets). Also being put in a position at least twice more on the tour to give tips. I would much rather have the opportunity to donate to a local community group rather than it being sprung upon us.

We have just had the most amazing half day private tour through Johannesburg and Soweto- apologies I cannot remember the name of the female guide but she was incredible. Very knowledgable, we learnt so much!
The trip was so much more than I had expected in a very positive way, most likely as it was a private tour. Soweto was the high light- we stayed in a child care centre in the lower class area of Soweto. Well all I wanted to do was ship everything my children have over! They are so happy with very very little and when I say day care centre I mean a small hut! The mothers take it in turn to look after the children aged about 2-5 years. Definitely recommend this trip if you want to see all aspects of Johannesburg. The only other point to add is that you stop in a lot of places and have guided tours so you need plenty of cash for tips plus a donation to the child care centre if visited!

We have just finished this tour with fabulous Khongi as our guide. We were initially worried about the safety in Joburg and questioned whether we should be doing this tour but at no point did we feel unsafe even on foot in the middle of a shandy town in Soweto. It was eye opening and enlightening and I would highly recommended this tour - particularly with a guide as knowledgable as Khongi.

We were fortunate to take two tours with Pastor as our guide. The first was a tour of Johannesburg and Soweto including Apartheid Museum. Second was tour of Lesedi Village. Both tours ate excellent. The city tour provided in depth understanding if history of Johannesburg from colonization forward to Apartheid the struggles and leadership of Neson Mandela who brought South Africa to the democracy standing today. Pastor is a wealth of information on history, culture and rituals if south africa and its cultures.

Dont miss Lesedi Village . Its a fabulous introduction to the tribes of S Africa and their culture, history, dance, art, music, dance snd food. Great lunch there with wonderful African fare. Agsin Pastor our guide gave great overview if the tribes , history and customs.

Pastor is a great guide. He came on time, and more importantly, returned us to JNB airport at our desired time. We learned a lot about the history of Joburg. Thank you Pastor.

I picked this tour because of the great reviews and comments about Pastar.
From start to finish the communication beforehand to the tour and drop off at the airport were fantastic.
Pastor is definitely the guide to have giving plenty of information about the apartheid regime and its eventual dismantling.
City tour was great but the visit to Soweto was the highlight and being able to have an insight into how the poorest live helps to realise how lucky we are. Despite the obvious poverty people suffered it was clear there was a great community spirit.
Thank you Pastar for a great time and your sense of humour and knowledge.

This was a very informative and safe way of exploring Johannesburg and Soweto. Our guide, Pastar was very passionate about history and had lots of info to share, but was also just fun to talk to and was knowledgeable about more than just his own culture. We learned a ton about history, culture, social structure, and government in South Africa. This tour also provided the opportunity to get out of the vehicle and explore from more than just the car, taking us to a few museums, the city courthouse, and a lively arts district, all of which was a welcomed experience. The pick up and drop off were seamless and timely. Communication with the company ahead of time was great too - quick responses and very accommodating people. Highly recommended tour for an intro to these two areas!
