Learn to surf on this 2-hour group lesson on Oahu. Join a group of students and discover how to ride the waves like some of the Island's most famous celebrities with the help of a certified, professional instructor. We have small student to instructor ratio of 1 instructor for every 3-4 students. Waikiki Surf Lesson starts a 10 minute safety slide show inside our surf shop, followed by heading to the beach and practicing on the sand for another 10 minutes. In our 20 year experience, we know that surfing is muscle memory, so when first timers master their surf stance then they tend to get up on their very first wave.

The instructors were very nice and made sure to give each person plenty of attention! Though I got seasick and had to cut it short, I appreciated they were checking up on me constantly to see if I wanted to get back to surfing. Very easy instructions, just takes practice!

Great experience with surfing. It was 1st time for me to surf, but thanks to our instructor, Ted, all of us in the group was able to ride on the wave. Thanks Ted for teaching us how to surf and caring us during the lesson. I will come back again.

Our instructors Ryan and Ted were great! They gave live feedback on how to improve on each run so that we could have a better success rate. We really enjoyed how the school was organized.

100000% recommend!!!! Surfing was the best part of my entire trip to Honolulu. I would pay to do it a thousand times over and over again. Everyone HAS to experience it!! Our instructor “MO” was the BEST!!! He made me feel very safe and boosted my confidence so much to where I rode my OWN wave multiple times!!

I joined the group lesson with Nico. There were 3 people in my group. The other 2 picked up and learned fast while I wasn't. Nico seemed to be frustrated and quite inpatient at times. I never surfed before and did not anticipate the amount of energy-- literally a workout of the upper body-- to lie on the surfing board and swim with the two hands. I was extremely exhausted and wanted to take some rest but Nico kept asking me to swim. I wished I was without another person but not Nico. Overall not a great experience.

Had the best day learning how to surf! RP was an amazing instructor and everyone in the group stood up on their boards! Definitely going to come back again for another lesson!

We did the photographery package for my husband and I. This was our first time surfing and there was 3 of us to our instructor, Mo. Mo did a great job with us! He saw the waves getting too big for skill level and moved us inward until we got the hang of it. We both got up several times and have great photos and videos to look back on.

In the instruction, they told us the start time is 11am. When we arrive at 11, they said we should arrive in 20-30 minutes earlier and since we are late, we cannot do anything to change or join the program nor join at another time and they said this is viator's issue. As a proof, I still have the pdf document of the voucher for the unclear instruction. I have tried to call and ask for refund twice from Viator, but getting the results of no refund since we were late. We were really looking forward to this event and paid for 3 people, which is not a small amount of money, for now we are paying the money for nothing.
That day we arrived to the surf school, the staff told us that all the other customer have arrive on time and tried to call me few times (she called the wrong number). The staff had a strong standpoint that day telling us nothing we can do and money lost is lost, strong attutude and very unpleasent experience. Currently still asking for refund and seems to be a long journey to go as they need to investigate.
Will not recommend this place due to bad customer experience and unclear instruction.
