It was my second trip with BusTravel Iceland. Karol, our guide and driver, did a marvellous job. He took us to the most scenic spots on the Snaefellsnes peninsula and shared his nowledge about Iceland's history and customs. If you're keen on coastline landscapes, cliffs, wildlife, and lava formations, it's one of the best experiences you can have. Highly recommended!

This was a really nice excursion. Petur, our driver, was really friendly and as he drove us to numerous places, he would educate us by sharing traditional tales or just simply by describing the amazing scenery. Lots of places to visit. You don’t get tired of the drive until the last two hours (returning to the city).
Food: you can either bring your own food or purchase something at the first stop (we did the latter). Food and drinks are permitted on the bus.
Bathroom breaks: drivers are aware of this and therefore, every two hours, there would be one
Clothing: honestly, it could happen anything. One thing for sure, it is super windy.
Transportation: depending on the number of passengers, the company offers the regular size bus or the minivan. We went on the latter one, more comfy. Each seat has their own usb charger.
Stops: bear in mind that the time is limited, therefore, you cannot spend a lot of time in each place. Having said that, we felt like we had enough time.

Our tour guide Addi was marvellous showed us the pathways and was very informative about history and storytelling the only negative was not being able to enjoy the scenery as we were very rushed with time but overall an amazing tour

My wife and I, with perhaps 15 or so others, were part of this full day bus tour. We were picked up around 9am, from bus stop 12. Pickup was on time, and easy. Andy was our tour guide, and our driver. Andy was great! He was a very good driver, a good storyteller, and very good with his running commentary. We had a nice group of people to travel with. The tour itself was quite long, start to finish, but really the time went by quickly. We did put on quite a few miles during the tour, but that meant we got to see more scenery in between our stops. Stops were fairly frequent, and there was enough break/restroom stops too. Andy did a good job keeping us comfortable. We saw a lot of wonderful sights. I am thankful we did this tour. I would do it again.

We took a day tour to Snaefellnes Peninsula from Reykjavik with Bus Travel Iceland. Almost 11 hours tour, but the amazing views made it absolutely worth it. Our driver and guide Addi was very friendly and helpful, and his commentary was informative and insightful. We visited towards late June '24, and the day was blessed with good weather which made the trip even more beautiful! Addi also made an additional quick stop to let us take pictures amongst the purple lupine blooms! Would highly recommend this tour, just be sure to pack some snacks and wear appropriate clothing in case of rains and winds...

Pick up was late to get us. And when we got to the terminal the guide forgot about my husband and I all together. I had to ask multiple times which bus we were supposed to get on. Also, Way too small a bus for how many people they had. It was absolutely packed full and we were crammed like sardines. The speakers on the bus were broke so we couldn’t even hear the guide. My husband and I left early due to illness and the company will not issue any type of voucher or refund. Overall not a great experience and would not recommend. Very disappointing.

Entertaining tour host,,I enjoyed her presence a lot.The tour was long and we stopped at many beautiful places.The tour host felt like she was one of us.Cannpt recommend this tour enough,amazing experience

I really don't want to be harsh to the guide who drove us around the West Peninsula for 12 hours but the tour was overall disappointing. This could have largely been due to the lack of coordination and professionalism from the tour guide we were assigned. The tour itself was pushed back 1 hour from 8am to 9am. The pick up was a bit chaotic. What actually unfolded did not match the instructions we were given. Despite all this, we finally made it to our tour group. Once we made it, the guide seemed confused and disorganized about who to pick up. Throughout the tour, there was lack of communication of where we are going, how long it will take us, to what we are seeing. People on the tour had to ask the guide several times where are we going next and etc. There was barely any explanation but random facts here and there. He was apparently planning to skip a few landmarks until people voiced it. The car ride throughout was rough too. Of course, this could have been largely due to the poor road conditions but given that and the rain, I would imagine the guide would have tried to drive slowly. Yet we were speeding through with sudden breaks. I started to feel nervous about my safety. The biggest disaster was the food situation. On the itinerary, we were told that we would stop at a specific small town with a restaurant but instead we were stopped at a gas station with nothing substantial to eat other than chips and candy. For a 11-12 hour tour, that is not sufficient.
It was nice to see all the pretty landmarks but I would not recommend touring with this company or specifically this tour guide. For someone who was doing it for 8 years, could use more coordination and communication.
