Not only was this our first time in a helicopter, it was my son's first time NYC, so this was a great experience for him, and a great way to see the NYC skyline, as well as Liberty Island, Governors Island and Ellis Island, not to mention New Jersey too.
The helicopter centre is well organised, safe and friendly. We arrived early but the flight left on time, with many helicopters rotating on and off the helipad. So waiting times are kept to a minimum.
The flight itself is short, 20 mins, but that said, long enough to see all of the key sites of NYC from the air.
I flew with my son in a 6 seat helicopter, the other 4 seats were taken by other guests.
Pilot was friendly and professional, but concentrated on flying while an automated playback narrated the views, which was fine.
Would I book again? Probably not now I have done it, but I would recommend to anyone who has not been to NYC, or in a helicopter?

Six people are transported in the helicopter at a time. There were three of us as a family. We were assigned three other people. I was squeezed into the middle of the back seat and sat very close to strangers who were very overweight. A young lady was allowed to sit in the front next to the pilot. She had an excellent view. But we all paid the same fare. I don't think that's fair. I couldn't take any photos either because I wasn't sitting next to the window. The headset was broken and I only had a very weak speaker. So I didn't understand any of the information because the headset was already at maximum volume but was still very quiet. What a pity. I'm very disappointed.

The whole experience was wonderful, from waiting to board the helicopter, to the moment when it got airborne. Swooping over the city and seeing it all from such a different perspective. I found the whole experience very moving and quite emotional. I could have stayed up there for at least an hour!

Honeymoon - overseas experience. New York was our first stop and with only 4 days we chose a helicopter flight along the Hudson River. Scenery and flight was incredible. On the day we walked from Park Royal Hotel to East Pier 6 then had a lovely lunch after our flight, walking via Liberty Park before picking up an Uber to lower central park.

They rescheduled our trip so we could have better weather - and it worked out well. It should be a must-go in NYC. Great experience.

This was a fantastic experience. From the ease of the reservation and communication in advance and even when we had to reschedule the date due to poor weather the guys here were excellent. Very good arrival procedures and orientation prior to boarding the helicopter with stunning sights on the 20-25 min delux tour. A definite highlight of the trip to NYC would highly recommend
