The only reason to visit Bogota is the Salt Cathedral. This Cathedral is built inside the mines of Zipaquira.
You enter and see the 14 Stations of Christ. Then you descend to the actual service area.
Everything is carved from salt including the kneeling stations at each station and the service area.
Services area held there every Sunday midday. (So avoid Sunday if you do not want crowds. I was also told that Holy Week is very busy.
This is a wonder of the new world. One thing is the lighting is very low so picture taking is hard (as you will see) and the tunnels are carved into the salt so the floor is uneven.
