Our guide was outstanding and so knowledgable about the flora and fauna in the area. On the hike we saw white faced Capuchin monkeys, snakes (viper and boa constrictor), insects, and a glass wing butterfly. The geothermal activity was interesting and very active! We swam in a waterfall and also took a soak in hot springs! Lunch at a hacienda was outstanding. A wonderfully memorable day!

Kevin is an awesome guide who knows the rainforest like his hand. He answered all our questions and gave us the history of the national park.

- The transportation was prompt and comfortable. Shout-out to our driver, Alfredo, who was very conscious of the bumps and made us feel safe.
- Take a poncho or umbrella; if it rains on the hike, you will be soaked. Bug spray is a good idea for the hike and at the hot springs.
- The 3-mile hike is strenuous because of the multiple built-in steps; think US National Park hiking without scrambles or switchbacks
- Wear clothes that can get wet from the beginning--maybe even with your bathing suit underneath--and bring an EXTRA set of dry clothes that you leave on the bus until after the hot springs, which is the last stop.
- You likely won't see many animals on the hike during rainy season, and there are only 2-3 stops to see the steam and boiling water spots. This was our least favorite part of the tour, even though I love hiking.
- The waterfall is amazing, BUT there are hanging stairs, not just a bridge, to ascend/descend. Don't look around if you're afraid of heights. Had I known the height, I may not have taken the trek, but I took some deep breaths and stared at the back of my daughter's shirt. (If the water gets to a certain level because of excessive rain, you're not allowed to swim in the pool at the waterfall.)
- The hot springs are a unique experience. I only put my feet in because I was finally dry and did not want to be wet again. 9 different pools at different temperatures. Bathrooms and changing rooms on site, which makes it nice.

The Volcano Hike was spectacular. Diego was an excellent guide with incredible knowledge. The hike wouldn’t be the same without a guide. We were unable to go to the waterfall due to the amount of rain, but spent a little more time at the hot springs.

Our guide Will was incredible. We had the best trip. He picked us up from our hotel and informed us about the area as we passed through them. The day was great, loved the hike, the waterfall was worth the whole trip. Lunch was great, would definitely recommend!!!

Phenomenal experience. Our guide Ivan (Colon) was superb. His knowledge was great and he communicated and explained things so well throughout the entire time. Thank you to Diego, our driver, for get us to and from with stellar timing. From hiking the trail to the awesome buffet after, hot springs, mud bath, washing off in the river, and dip by the waterfalls, it was such a tremendous experience. Shout out to the awesome group I shared the tour with; y’all made it worth it. Such a blessing. Definitely worth it!!!

Our guide Julio and drive Johnny were great! The hike wasn't too advance either. Definitely humid and I probably wouldn't recommend for anyone who has problems with uneven surfaces but enjoyable otherwise! They can't make animals show up so don't be upset if you don't see any. The fumaroles, waterfall, hot springs etc. Are worth it on their own. The house gave us plenty of time at each place to enjoy to ourselves. We stopped for bathroom breaks, snacks, etc. Would do it again!

Kevin was our guide and he was so passionate about the nature and his country. He was very welcoming and fun. The hike wasn't as bad as I thought, it's mostly paved. Hydrate a day or two before though. The waterfall was the absolute best and the most beautiful part of my trip. The hot springs were nice. Lots of people enjoyed them for me, it burned my sunburn but I got in the river instead. This hike is definitely worth it! So many cool pictures and views.

This was one of our favorite days in Costa Rica. We were picked up and dropped off right in front of our rental house in Tamarindo. Our guide, Julio Cesar, and our driver, Joselito, were excellent, very informative and helpful. The walk in the rain forest was very enjoyable and relatively easy. Cesar was very quick to point out details in the forest that we would've easily missed. It did rain on us for part of the day, but it was not unpleasant at all. Be sure and bring a poncho though! We ended the day with a delicious lunch of typical Costa Rican food. Highly recommend taking this tour.
