I took 2 lessons at this school. Many thanks to my instructor Mamo for being professional and supportive. First day we learned the balance, basics and slow driving manoeuvres, also going uphill and downhill, start from uphill and emergency stop. The second day we went to actual driving in the traffic, where instructor is on another scooter and uses radio set to give instructions, very helpful. I recommend everyone to take at least 2 classes here before renting a scooter in Bali.

I wanted to do the scooter license here in Bali, so natturally i shopped around. And I can confirm that Canggu Scooter Lessons are great, No the Best!From the Administration who promptly responded to my questions promptly to the Instructor YOGI who with great passion explained every little detail of the bike! Not only how to drive it, (I knew nothing regarding scooters) using correct positioning of the hands and feet, but also explained everything, including how to open the seat compartment, how to start it, EVERYTHING! After around an hour, we took to the streets for another hour where without me telling him, he took some great pictures and videos of me driving around Canggu (which i really wanted)! YOGI, you are great! Thank you for teaching me patiently and safely!! Cannot recommend you enough!!

Rico was very helpful, patient and told me the instructions very clearly. It is my first time riding a scooter so at first it was pretty hard but Rico made sure by the end of the class I would be able to be confident within my self. We even drove on the road for experience!

I came to Bali and realised I could not explore the island freely without driving a scooter. As the traffic here is crazy and I never drove a scooter I paid for a lesson at Canggu SL. My instructor Gede showed and explained to me everything that I needed to know before I tried to drive. I had a chance to practice and get familiar with machines in the safe space of a school area. In lesson 3 we went for an actual ride. We had nice walkie-talkies to be able to communicate while I was following my teacher on my own. He carefully went in front of me and I followed up on my own. It was funny and scary. I enjoyed my lesson 4 when I felt more confident. Gede always had a look if I was safe, waited for me and made necessary stops to check up on me. It was fun and good practice before I found the courage to get my scooter. Driving in Bali is not only about knowing the machine but also about local “rules” and Gede provided me with so much information about both. Thank you, Gede and also a head of Canggu Scooter Lesson who let me plan my class schedule according to my needs. It was a fun and smart step for those who do not want to learn to drive by “having Bali kiss accident while they drive for the first time.” Thx. I will try to drive safely. 🛵

The coach was very nice. He picked me up from my hotel on a motorcycle and took me to the training ground. We had an hour of field training and an hour of driving on the road. Everything was great!

I took 3 lessons with Gede. He is the most wonderful instructor, I felt so lucky to work with him. After the third lesson, I didn’t just feel confident enough to drive anywhere, I could drive with a passenger on busy streets, side roads & even a bit on the broken sidewalks. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to drive motorbikes/scooters, even if you have prior experience. They will teach you driving culture, customs and things to look out for that are unique to the area. I couldn’t have had a better experience. They even gave me a “learning” sign for my bike.
