Bus tour was excellent, with a really friendly and knowledgeable guide and a comfortable and air-conditioned ride.
Cruise was terrible. Rude staff, dirty boat and very short

The buffet was excellent. Lots of choice and all dishes were delicious. The two Hungarian dancers provided shorter performances than I thought but were very good. They came round to tables and provided opportunities for photos with them. The string trio, who were very good, also went from table to table playing requests. And the cruise was enjoyable. A lot to provide in 90 minutes. We had great difficulty finding the boat with a local taxi driver.

If you want to see Budapest and learn the history in a relaxed atmosphere then this tour is a must. It covered Buda side and Pest side of town my favourite was Hero’s Square it was amazing. We also got see the Buda Castle and stopped at other amazing sites. Gillerts Hill you could see far and wide of Budapest. It also helps when you have a tour guide like Attila, he was fabulous and very knowledgeable, thanks heaps Attila. Later that day we did the Danube cruise the only issue I had with that, there was no commentary so if you really didn’t know much about the history you really wouldn’t know what you were looking at. We were lucky as we had Atilla to thank for that. But for us the cruise was relaxing.

We had booked an English speaking tour, and then two German couples, and a third couple with a guide helping them joined the tour. This meant the guide, Yolanda, repeated everything in both English and German, which meant there was never a break in the dialogue. Unfortunately, the three couples spoke loudly whenever the guide was speaking English, so it was then difficult to hear. The final thirty minutes of the tour were spent in a souvenir shop, which was an absolute waste of our time, and very shallow. The timing was poor on this tour - too little time in the Church of St Matthias, no time at all for St Stephen’s, as that was spent in the gift shop.

The 3 Hour bus tour had an excellent tour guide and was combination bus/walking/bus.
The tour highlighted everything we needed to see in such a short time and we even had time for a stop at a lovely restaurant famous for ice coffee's and a selection of (To die for cakes).
The only disappointment was the 1 hour day cruise. It was a very hot day and no air conditioning and no windows that we could open for fresh air. It was OK for the people that sat on the deck upstairs with no shade. We had to sit downstairs as my husband has skin cancer and can't sit in the sun for 1 hour. However the sightseeing was beautiful.

Perfect way to see the main attractions around Budapest and get some local history. The bus gave three stops with walking and not too much waiting.

This tour was extremely disappointing. Our tour guide spoke English poorly (unlike most people we met in Budapest), and was also so quiet that it was difficult to hear her. As a result, we did not learn very much about the places we stopped at, and the commentary on the bus was unclear too. We have taken many tours through TripAdvisor and this ranks at the bottom. The best part was the Danube Cruise, which we did on our own after the bus tour.

City Guide for 3 x hours was a small group in a mini bus which was great. Maria from Buda was a very entertaining guide. We met the bus at the Intercontinental Hotel where we were staying so very convenient. Friendly staff at Viator & informative. We were able to do the 1 x hour Boat Tour the following day which was also near the hotel Pier 6 which suited perfectly - all very well organized.
All in all added to a very enjoyable 1st trip to Budapest.
