Great tour to see and learn about the Incan civilisation. The sites, especially Machu Picchu did not disappoint, so difficult to describe, but simply breathtaking and stunning, unlike anything I’ve ever seen before.

We had two different guides, Luís and Flora whose knowledge was incredible. Speaking very good English, it was easy to understand all that was said.

The first three days we (a couple in our 50s) were on our own with the guides and drivers, on the last day we joined 3 other couples for Machu Picchu. There’s lots of stairs and clambering up and down….Luis made sure everyone was fine, taking regular breaks to give us time to get our breath back. Acclimatising to altitude took a couple of days, just a few headaches and tiredness.

The drivers were all very skilled, on the sometimes rough and difficult roads, but the views and scenery was worth a few bumpy trips!

All transfers and train journeys were well coordinated and we were well looked after.

All hotels were good quality and included breakfast. All staff were very helpful and generally the Peruvian people were very friendly.

Only slight negative in Cusco was the constant hassle from street vendors, although I understand this is to be expected with so many tourists in the city.

I would strongly recommend, we had a great time!

I can’t recommend this tour highly enough. The tour was very well organised so we felt taken care of all the time.

Our guide Luis was fantastic sharing not only an unbelievable encyclopaedic knowledge of the Incas and their culture but also lots of entertaining and fun anecdotes. He was great to be around for the whole trip. A special note for Nacho our driver who also was incredibly helpful and kind.

The tour was fantastic culminating in the visit to Machu Picchu. I felt that we got a wonderful tour but also Luis anticipated the changing weather to ensure we got the best experience.

Overall the trip was so enjoyable and I am so glad we took it with this company.

An excellent tour must be done with a company that knows the culture well, safe transportation, and trustworthy people.

And we have found all this with our friends from Machupichu Latin America.

A thank you to our professional pilot Román and our exceptional guide Frabricio.... delighted by their kindness, trust and punctuality.

We had an amazing time on the tour. Our guide, Michael, was super nice and knowledgeable. He had an interesting perspective beyond the bland facts on the numerous monuments and could answer all our specific questions. The planning was seamless and we never felt lost or confused. Overall, we got a great tour of the region and feel like we are leaving with a good idea of the history. Not to mention, the food was so good.

It's now been two weeks since my family and I left Cusco, but we cannot stop talking about what a great experience we had. From the start booking with Fredi was a breeze, for he was accommodating to our preferences and alterations. We were a family of 10, ranging in ages 18 to 62. Our guide, Fabrizio, and driver, Juan (& later Sr Ignacio) were wonderful. Fabrizio's passion for his culture is infectious when he explains the various sites you visit. He was accommodating to our older family members who needed a slower pace due to the altitude and (at times) challenging treks. Many of us have been to Cusco/Machu Picchu before but found this experience to be the best. The coordination between Fabrizio, our driver, and the admin office was efficient and commendable. There is a deep understanding not just of the history of the sites but the logistics of getting in and out of them. We were able to avoid crowds and traffic in various spots which made for an even better tour. Highlights for us were: Tambomachay, the Maras Salt Mines, Moray, Ollantaytambo, Aguas Calientes (overnight is a must), Machu Picchu, and the list goes on really. The only thing I would have changed is to have a little more time in Ollantaytambo as I've heard it is a cute little city to explore. Overall, we highly recommend this agency. Their hospitality, professionalism, and passion made for an incredible family trip. We will be recommending them to friends and family and using them again in the future.

It was one of those nearly perfect trips to Machu Picchu via Cusco. Apart from the chaotic and disorganized Lima International Airport (lesson learned: give yourself more transit time to claim and recheck your luggage in the domestic section, and experiencing some side effects from the Diamox we took for 2 days) we couldn't have asked for a better trip. The weather was perfect, and the people were welcoming, friendly, and peaceful, contrary to what the State Department rated Peru. The tour agency, Machu Picchu Latin America, provided great door-to-door service. Michael, our tour guide for 4 days, was excellent and second to none. He holds an MS degree in history and has studied cultures and politics extensively. He was very knowledgeable and explained things thoroughly, providing backstories and reasons behind the way things are. It was four days of immersing ourselves in Inca and Peruvian history. We couldn't have asked for a better guide.

On Day 1, we took an additional city tour, Day 2 included a visit to the Salt Mines and more, Day 3 took us through the Sacred Valley and to Ollantaytambo, and Day 4 was the highlight of the trip—Machu Picchu. The hike was slightly exhausting, but for those who couldn't do it, there is another relatively flat route to the site. I highly recommend bringing a walking stick, especially if you have weaker knees. I was happy I bought one as it helped me, especially going downhill. The food was good, with options ranging from vegan to meat dishes. Make sure to pack all-season clothing as temperatures can vary from freezing to 80°F under the highland sun.

I want to express my gratitude to Freddie and Michael for their well-planned tour. It made the trip even more enjoyable and memorable.
