A challenging hike in a very unusual part of Tijuca Forest, one of the biggest urban forests in the world. On this circuit of trails you'll walk approx. 5h, for 10,4km (6.5mi), with an elevation gain of 848m (2,670ft) and discover the nature and beauty of the jungle. Reach the Taquara Hill (814m=2670ft), a 100m higher than Christ Redeemer with mazing views to the valley of the forest and the city, in clear days. Visit caves and also coffee farms ruin. After the hike, refresh in a waterfall* (bring towel/ bathing suit). On the route to the park, stop by another summit for pictures and admiring the landscape. The scenery of this tour is amazing with nature and a lot of adventure. You'll also learn the history of Brazil, of the forest, the coffee farms of that area, and the reforestation that happened in the 1800's.
*The flow on the falls varies according to the rain.
*it also goes to Vista Chinesa but only on working days (on weekends/holidays Vista Chinesa is closed for vehicles)

Incredible hike. Pietro, our guide, also explained all the history of Rio and Brazil in general, and it was super interesting! The hike was challenging but it’s worth it cause the landscapes that we got to see are stunning! Thanks Pietro!!!

Pietro gave us a great hike in the Tijuca forest. I really enjoyed the experience and it was great to get out of the hustle and bustle of Rio for a few hours. The pick up was on time. Once in the park we got a thorough lesson in the history of the park. We went to the top of one of the biggest hills in the park and took in the amazing scenery, there were beautiful waterfalls, nature, monkeys and caves! We refreshed with a dip in the waterfall. I would 100% recommend!

Great day with Ricardo our tour guide, who had lots of interesting conversation and knowledge. The hike was as expected length wise, and good for those who want a bit longer in the jungle than the other half-day tours. Mostly in-shade so walk is hot but at least not in direct sunlight for the most part. Saw monkeys, raccoons, frogs and lots of nice wildlife.

The hiking was very physically intense, however Riccardo knew the route very well and encouraged us all the time. The views at each stop we made were impressive, true viewpoints in the middle of the jungle. Without the organization of Jungleme and Riccardo nothing would have been as good as this experience.

We were lucky to have Ricardo and a great two other guests, so there was us 2 and those making 4 people climbing. Which ended up being perfect, Ricardo was brilliant 👏 English perfect, knowledge on point.
Very challenging in places, if you are capable then definitely do it. As totally worth it as views were out of this world.
The waterfall shower at the end was fabulous 👌

TLDR: amazing experience, I give it 5/5.
The all-day hike was indeed a challenge but well worth the effort. The trail can be steep sometimes and the guide forces a rather fast pace, but I got used to it after a few minutes. For people with poor stamina, I would suggest an easier trail, though.
Overall, it was an excellent, professionally-planned and a well-prepared tour. The guide was extremely nice and helpful. Also, the organiser contacted me before the trip and was kind enough to pick me up from an unusual spot upon my request.
