Everything went as planned. Short walk from cruise ship to meeting place. Van was waiting for us. Tour guide was great. 45 min ride to the ruins. We got there early. Beat the crowd. Literally the only group. As we left 8-10 busses were just getting there. At Bacalar the boat was waiting for us. Made a few stops to swim and have snacks. Got back on time. Took us all the way to the gates close to the cruise ship. I would recommend.

We loved this experience so much last year we brought our parents and daughter this time however was a different experience. Our tour guide was nice and informative but was different than the previous year. When meeting outside the cruise port unlike last year we had to stand outside in the heat to wait for others. Looking forward for the tacos those were also different than last year..3 tiny grilled shrimp in a taco with no sauce did not hit the spot and no fruit or horchata was provided. Also being told by the captain to not use suncreen was upsetting. Even though we were not in the ocean I had chemical free reef safe suncreen..we could see others in the different boats applying sunscreen..The boat was crowded and drinks were hot. They had beer and soda. I would recommend maybe getting hard seltzers for the ladies. Sorry to say last years experience was better.

The experience of the ruins, water, snacks, and good was amazing! But we almost missed our ship departure so time was an issue…

We came off the cruise ship and Jhoana, our tour guide, was waiting for us. She was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable about the Mayan history, well prepared and pleasant to listen to. Chaachoben was a very interesting place with lots of different ruins of Mayan temples. The Bacalar lagoon was beautiful with all its different colors. Jhoana fed us a delicious lunch on the boat. We will definitely choose her again for another adventure in Costa Maya. Highly recommendable!!

Lovely trip made even better by the fabulous Johana. Her tales of her life and family as well as great information about the ruins and Bacalar lagoon made for a wonderful day out from our cruise. Lovely taco lunch on the boat at the lagoon…shrimp were delicious and the mango and guacamole amazing! Only a small group…seven of us which was a bonus compared to the big cruise organised trips 😊 Would highly recommend especially with the lovely Johana and her smile 😃

The excursion combo was perfect! The trip from the port to the ruins was very scenic with cool A/C. Jhoana was the best tour guide ever! She explained a lot of history and was very funny and entertaining. I will definitely want to do this tour again someday. And hopefully Jhoana can tour us again.

We did this tour with Jhoana and Hugo and it was a great day. We were 5 couples (all cousins) and everyone enjoyed everything. Jhoana was an excellent guide and Hugo was a personable and safe driver. Jhoana even made us her fresh guacamole while we swam in the most gorgeous Bacalar Lagoon. I recommend this tour and tour operator for people of all ages!!!

We visited on our cruise in March. Communication before arrival was prompt and they were very clear with directions to meet up with them. We had a great tour! The group assigned to travel with us were late getting to the meet up point so our tour of the ruins felt a bit rushed. Ezekiel was our guide and he did a great job keeping us on schedule to get back to the ship on time. He was wonderful to explain the history of the ruins and the Mayan culture. We were still able to see the main temples and got some great pictures. After the ruins we were off to Bacalar Lagoon. Our boat captain was ready for us and spent a little time showing us one of the cenotes, but our group was ready to swim so off we went to the swimming area. Beautiful water and so refreshing after hiking at the ruins. Our boat captain brought us some fresh fruit while we were in the water and it’s was the freshest fruit we’ve ever had! They delivered our taco lunch to the boat and we were able to enjoy it after our swim. There were plenty of drinks and we got to try some local snacks. Our family decided that their Dorritos chips are so much better than in the US! Yes, there is a lot of travel time with this excursion, but the van was comfortable, air conditioned, and our tour guide Ezekiel shared history of the area with pictures and we got to try local chewing gum. He was very knowledgeable and even got in the water with us at the lagoon even though he was not a swimmer. He was a lot of fun and made our tour the best! They were very mindful to get us back to the port on time. We would highly recommend this tour and company.
