This small-group tours includes transfers from your hotel to th amazing Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. There you will glide over the world's oldest rainforest as you ascend to the maginficent Red Peak boardwalk and its attractions. From there journey to the spectacular Barron Gorge and falls as you make your way to the charming rainforest village of Kuranda. Once there choose from a vast array of activities including local markets, arts and crafts, enjoy an encounter with animals or butterflies (fees apply) and enjoy a relaxing lunch (own expense) before joining the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway on a spectacular journey through 15 tunnels and over 37 bridges enjoying magnificent views as you make your way to Freshwater Station to be met and transferred to your hotel, arriving about 4pm.

Michael was very informative and friendly. The scenery from the gondolas were amazing. Train trip was delightful with great panoramic views.

We booked this tour directly via Michael's website Cairns Custom Tours and were continuously kept up to date with booking information and times as well as his direct contact details if we had any issues or queries. Michael was always on time and very informative about the Cairns region providing a lovely relaxed bus trip. The views from the Skyrail and Kuranda train were spectacular. We had a wonderful day and would highly recommend Michael's tour to anyone visiting the Region.

Michael was kind, punctual, funny, and informative. We would highly recommend the sky rail! We chose to do the sky rail up and the railway back. The railway back took about two hours and after a long day out, we thought maybe we would have been better off, taking the sky rail up and down. All in all, kuranda was a cute village With a butterfly sanctuary and we also had a chance to buy some local honey. You really don’t need more than one to two hours to explore the village, and so much of this tour is independent, so it satisfied our curiosities and we had a great time. If you’re looking for something more guided, this isn’t particularly it but for us we were happy with the day!

Skyrail great esp Barren falls. Enjoyed the rainforest and river walks while in Kuranda that also left time for the markets there. Michael very helpful

From the first moment I booked this Tour with Michael the owner/host, until we completed our day trip, we were kept informed all the time of where we would be picked up from, we were sent emails and text's a few days before to check that everything was still on track for us. Michael was very informative, funny and went out of his way to assist my elderly mother. He is very knowledgeable about all things relating to this Region and we couldn't have picked a better tour to visit the Kuranda Scenic Rail and the Skyrail. We would certainly contact Michael again when we are next in the area on holiday!

"While in Australia, visiting this place was a must, and it certainly didn't disappoint. We took the Skyrail and had a lovely day feeding kangaroos, holding a koala, exploring the butterfly atrium and bird aviary. Spending the day shopping and eating made it even more delightful." on the way down stopped to see the amazing waterfall.
