we booked this experience in hopes to find some off the beaten tourist path food and it delivered! our guide jonathan was knowledgeable, friendly, funny and clearly passionate about food and culture. we loved everything we tasted and went back to more than one of the restaurants before our trip was over. i highly recommend this tour! when we go back, we’ll book the dinner experience next :)

Went on the dinner tour last night and had a great time. Learned a lot about the culture of Cabo and had some great food. Will definitely return to the locations we visited! Highly recommended!

This was a great way to find the hidden gems off the beaten path in Cabo San Lucas. My husband and I did the 11am tour, which ended up being the two of us with our guide. It was a wonderful experience and we learned a lot about the history of Mexican food as well as the local spots we visited. We did the 11am tour, which allowed us to experience restaurants and menus that offer breakfast and lunch tacos. We learned that the evening tour is a completely different experience, which I would love to try in a future trip to Cabo San Lucas.
We began our walking tour by stopping for tasty, refreshing aguas frescas, after which we stopped for tacos de guisado at Doña Martha. I wanted to try every single variety that they had in the clay pots, but knew I wouldn't want to try anything else after since I'd be too stuffed. I ended up choosing the nopales and another guisado that I recall having bacon in it, but I cannot recall the name. It was absolutely delicious and left me knowing I will be back to visit another time for more guisados. Next, we went to Los Michoacanos for delicious chicharrones, carnitas tacos, and a mushroomy huitlacoche quesadilla. Again, everything we tried was tasty. Our next stop took us to El Meson Mexicano for delicious birria con consommé. We rounded out the trip with a little ice cream treat (I chose a mango and tajin frozen fruit bar). It was a delicious way to learn a bit more about the local food culture and we had a wonderful time.

Very knowledgeable guide, he was proud of the fresh local restaurants where he took us. I learned a lot about Mexican cooking traditions. We ate so much food, I couldn't eat another bite when we were done!

Jonathon was very knowledge about local Mexican cuisine. He was prompt at the meeting spot. There is some walking involved but easy to navigate. We had so much delicious food at 5 different places. Great way to see the local area not far off the tourist spots.

Jonathan was a great guide. He provided a lot of information on ingredients that are used in this area for traditional meals and cooking methods. The places we went were excellent and friendly to my 18 month old nephew. While we enjoyed the various dishes, Jonathan entertained Caleb, my nephew. It was a great experience!
