Surrounded by a landscape, sometimes lunar, we will try to get to know and explore Etna, a World Heritage Site, famous for its beauty and uniqueness.
We will cross: Deserts of Black Sand; Ancient and recent lava flows; Old craters and lava tubes.
Difficulty: Easy
Maximum altitude: about 2100 m;
Duration of the trek: about 1.5 / 2 hours;
Height difference: about 100 m.
In the event of adverse weather conditions or real security risks, the route can be changed!!
Other things to keep in mind: The duration of the experience is indicative. Unpredictable situations could cause the experience to end later than expected.
It is always better not to make the day of the experience coincide with the date of your flight, if the scheduled time is too close to your departure/arrival.
It is important to wear hiking shoes or that you are not afraid to get dirty.

Me and my fiancee joined our lovely guides to Etna in july 2024.
Communication/information before the trip was good and the excursion itself was absolutely amazing. This trip included transport from and to Catania, which was a good option for us.
This is a must-do experience while in Sicily. Etna is a beautiful and unique volcano to visit and the guides make the the trip perfect with their easy-going attitude and expertise.

Amazing visit! The guides are great, welcoming and smiling. The Award is very affordable compared to the Things to do (mount Etna + lava tunnel). An almost unbeatable Award Value, moreover the equipment is provided. One of the Best Things to Do in Sicily We Have Done!

Nice morning experienced with two very enthusiastic tour guides who have taken us to some secondary craters of Mount Etna and a lava cave a lot further down the valley.
Very nice and special surroundings, beautiful views, and an educational trip.
Highly recommended while visiting Sicily.

I took the tour with two friends. The guide, Raphaella is super friendly. She told us many stories about Etna and Sicily with great humor. The walk lasts about 2 hours, the level is very accessible. The landscapes are beautiful. If you have never been on a volcano this is an experience not to be missed! The tour ends with a visit to a lava tunnel (cave formed by dried lava). A friend was apprehensive about the cave but everything went very well. In short I highly recommend this experience!!

The tour was great! The very friendly tour guides accompanied us well and gave us a varied hike.
The short and interesting information about the local cultural connection to Etna, as well as information about the flora and fauna of Etna, were particularly interesting.
The guides are very well prepared and the small group size with other interested people rounds off the hike.
I was astonished by the tour and the landscape. I won’t forget this experience any time soon!

A beautiful experience! We climbed Etna early in the morning, after the guides (Raffaella and Cristoph) picked us up and provided us with the necessary equipment. Peace and a breathtaking view. The guys who guided us were impeccable: passionate, competent, very kind and extremely helpful.
Absolutely recommended and a must do with them!
