WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Colosseum
This 2.5-hour guided tour with fast track access to the Colosseum through the Gladiators' Gate; our storytelling guide will take ancient history back to life. You will depart from our meeting point and you will receive personal headsets for a better listening to the guide. With this entrance you will access in the center of the Arena, have your camera ready to discover the Colosseum where Gladiators and wild beast did their combats. Access through the special Gladiator's Gate and take the chance to step into Arena stage where Gladiators used to join the fights!
2. Roman Forum
From this stage you will visit the ring that overlooks the underground areas of the Colosseum. While you take in the amazing view, your guides will share their knowledge about the history of Ancient Rome and of the Colosseum in particular. The guides are all licensed and have a degree either in Art History or Archaeology, and enrich their explanation adding amazing anecdotes about the Colosseum, its spectators, the fights between wild beasts and gladiators, and the lives of the powerful Emperors and politicians of the time.
3. Palatine Hill
Your tour of Ancient Rome will continue to the Palatine Hill, one of Rome’s seven hills. Here, emperors and wealthy families used to have their houses built, to enjoy the stunning view over the Roman Forum and Circus Maximum. Your group will then walk down the Palatine Hill and stroll among the ruins of the Roman Forum, an archaeological area that the guide will bring alive sharing more history and anecdotes about Ancient Rome. Our guides use overlay books and 3D pictures to show you how each column, temple and building used to look like at that time. You will understand what those ruins used to represent, linking them to the main characters and events of Ancient Rome’s history. At the end of the tour, you will return back to the starting point and from there can proceed with the rest of your day.

• Please Note: to access the Colosseum you need to add in your reservation the exact name and last name of all participants in your group and children need to be specified. In case of mistake in writing your name and last name in your reservation, if the Colosseum tickets controllers deny the access due to the wrong name and last name we decline any responsibility and NO REFUND will be provided.
• Small group tour will average 26 people
• Please note: by purchasing this tour you accept our Terms and Conditions and you are aware that not refund it will be given in case of not attending the tour or if you arrive late for the tour.
• Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
• Please make sure you bring comfortable shoes and a refillable plastic water bottle especially during hot weather!
• There might be a change in order of the itinerary due to security and ticket availability.
• Please note that due to uneven surfaces, this tour is not suitable for any persons with disabilities.
• Please show up at least 10 minutes before the tour to do the check in
• In summer time we suggest bringing a bottle of water. In summer time due to the heat the tour might last about 2 hours.
• Not allowed: Pets, weapons or sharp objects, oversized luggage, smoking, alcohol or drugs, sprays or aerosols, glassware, unaccompanied minors, electric wheelchairs
• Please note: in case of late arrival we inform you that you will lose your tour and no refund will be given for no show or for late arrival
• The entrance fee to the archaeological sites is 17 Euros for adults (23 Euros for the arena option), accompanied by a booking fee of 2 Euros. The additional amount covers services provided by experienced licensed guides, audio devices, booking fees and other tourist services. The aim is to promote transparency and ensure your understanding of the cost breakdown. In July and August, due to the heat, the duration of the tour is 2 hours. Please note that this tour is not wheelchair accessible.
• Meeting time is subject to change; if this occurs, you will receive a call or message from the activity provider. Please provide your correct phone number and country code.
• ID mandatory. Guests who show up without ID cannot be guaranteed entrance.
• The full names of all the participants in the booking is needed, incomplete information on the booking cannot be guaranteed entrance.

It was worth it, Rene was great. We did that one with a guide to make sure we got a lot of details. I recommend seeing the arena if you’re in the Colosseo already.

Flavia was an amazing tour guide. She was so knowledgeable about the three locations and shared it with the group in a very engaging way. It was a hot day and she made sure to get us as much shade as possible and multiple water stops. Highlight of our trip!

Paid for the arena access, got regular tickets instead. Still had to wait for them. Other who had paid for guided tours were also given general tickets which could have been bought directly for more than half the price

This is an overpriced non refundable tour. The tickets to enter are €25 each for adults and kids are free. We had bad weather the morning of tour and waited an hour for a taxi. We arrived at the meeting location 10 minutes late but the tour had left. We were not offered a spot on their next tour (they have groups every 15 minutes) and refused any kind of refund. So we paid $500 for nothing. Find the cheapest skip the line tickets you can for the Colosseum and skip the expensive tour companies.

Detailed historical overview and sensitivity to hot weather by tour guide. While walking briskly through Collaseum the tour guide delivered lots of interesting information. She focused on the history of Rome and communicated in a balanced yet honest way. Also it was very hot and she purposefully took the group through shaded areas for most of the Collaseum portion. Would recommend particularly if new to Rome.
