1. Avila
Check in at our office in central Madrid 15 minutes in advance of your tour. Leave the city towards Ávila aboard one of our air-conditioned coaches. Our first stop for the day will be at the city of Ávila, one of the best preserved fortifications in Spain. Follow your guide on a walking tour of the Old Town to discover the impressive history of this city. See Romanesque style churches, Gothic palaces and a fortified cathedral of the Middle Ages. Visit the Walls of Ávila and imagine the stories they have seen through the centuries. Marvel at the fortification and towers, which have granted the city a World Heritage Site status by UNESCO. You will be given free time to explore on your own.
2. Casco Historico de Avila
Our first stop for the day will be at the city of Ávila, one of the best-preserved fortifications in Spain. Follow your guide on a walking tour of the Old Town to discover the impressive history of this city. See Romanesque style churches, Gothic palaces and a fortified cathedral of the Middle Ages.
3. Las Murallas de Avila
Visit the Walls of Ávila and imagine the stories they have seen through the centuries. Marvel at the fortification and towers, which have granted the city a World Heritage Site status by UNESCO.
4. Segovia
We will continue the tour to Segovia. On arrival, we will divide in different groups. If you have chosen the option to visit Segovia at your own pace, you will have approximately three hours of free time. If you have chosen the option with monuments, you’ll have approximately one hour of free time to have lunch on your own. The rest of the group will go to the restaurant to enjoy a lunch with roast suckling pig that will not leave you indifferent.
5. Cathedral of Segovia
After lunch, those who have chosen the tour with monuments will meet again with the guide to start the tour in Segovia. Walk through the old Jewish quarter of the city, visit the outside of the Cathedral and walk towards the Alcazar of Segovia.
6. Alcazar of Segovia
Enjoy a guided tour inside the castle and marvel at this spectacular fortification. Did you know that its architecture inspired Walt Disney for one of his films? Can you tell us which one?
7. Segovia
If you have visited Segovia on your own, meet the rest of the group at the agreed time to return to Madrid.

Great Trip, Ample time to eat your own lunch. Guide was great and even though our group had only two parties with English language and l he made sure we are covered. Lots of walking so make sure to wear comfortable shoes. Tour started and ended on time.

Bus was over an hour late to start so our trip was rushed. Guide spoke in Spanish and then English and was hard to understand. He pin dropped the wrong location for meeting at the end of the tour so we were left behind and had to find our own way back to Madrid

Muy buen tour junto al guía José Luis, el recorrido por Avila muy informativo y nos fue explicando con calma cada una de las construcciones del recorrido. Al igual que Segovia, vale mencionar que los tiempos son los ideales.

The schedule was very tight but it was the most effective way to visit these two cities in the same day from Madrid. Otherwise, this would definitely be two days if you take public transit. We left Madrid at 8am and visited Ávila first, followed by Segovia. We left Segovia at 4pm promptly. My biggest concern was the walls of Ávila and the aquaduct of Segovia, which were covered. We also saw churches and castles. This was a bilingual tour, so it helps to know some Spanish because you might kiss some information. But it's also ok if you only spoke English. Our tour guide Juan Luis did a good job at pacing us and giving us lots of information in English and Spanish throughout the tour.

Great trip. Both Segovia and Avila were fab and the tour guide was great too! We chose to eat and do the palace tour in Segovia separately but the tour guide was helpful in making sure we knew where to meet him to get the bus back to Madrid. Very keen to go back to Segovia as feel like you could spend quite a few days there soaking in the city!

Fantástica experiencia, nuestro guía José Luis nos explicó todo el contexto los siios que visitamos (murallas de Ávila, Acueducto y Alcázar de Segovia, etc.), pero además nos dio un contexto de la larguísima y compleja historia de España, desde la época románica hasta la actualidad.
