We did not understand that “Gondola With Live Commentary” meant that the commentary was with a guide walking the streets. The guide was very informative but the group was so large that many times we lost sound in our radio because he got too far from us. We could never connect what he was talking about with what we were seeing because of the distance. There was a great chance of him losing someone because he didn’t check to make sure we were all there and didn’t keep a sign or anything up where we could see it as he was waking and turning corners. It was very difficult to follow. The tour “details” were completely misleading. The Gondola ride did not last 30-50 minutes. The entire time, including the walking tour was maybe 20 minutes, with the gondola ride itself being maybe 10 minutes. The gondolier was busy chitchatting with other gondoliers so we got no commentary from him. It seemed far from worth the cost and we were all very disappointed!

The Gondola ride was too short. Half of the time was a walking tour to get to the gondola. I recommend just finding a Gondola ride and negotiate a price. There are plenty to choose from. But 30 min is really all you need to get the experience

The gondolier was extremely rude my wife lent over slightly so we could take a photo and the gondolier shouted at us in an aggressive manner to sit still and not take any photos this was very upsetting and made the rest of the trip uncomfortable there was also an old couple on the boat it was their last trip to Venice after visiting many times they asked him a question and he answered them in a rude and aggressive manner he also smoked and spat in the water and scratched his crotch through the journey very unpleasant indeed

They advertised a 30 minute gondola ride and only gave us less than 20 minutes. It was extremely pricey for that amount of time compared with just booking one at the pier.

This was a great experience to see everything in Venice, well worth it, we saw everything. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and took us to all the major attractions and explained everything along the way. This was a must do

Riccardo was a good guide on our way to the gondola but that is really where the guided tour ends. Then you are brought around in the gondola for maybe 20 minutes in a row of boats. A bit disappointing to be honest, you will get the same experience from using the gondola ferry's to cross the canal. Perhaps hiring the gondola privately is the better option so you can get some information from the gondolier while on the boat.

They really did not take you around to major spots. It was a 25 min ride in the inner canals with nothing to see.

We were wanting a 30-50 minute gondola ride in the beautiful canals of Venice. This experience was not that. True, we did in fact get to ride in a gondola, but our ride was 15-20 minutes. I read the description of this booking and I thought it was a little confusing about what we were getting. First, we checked in and were told to stand in another area. We waited and waited, come to find out—they had gathered the whole group, but did not come around the corner to tell us they were starting. We got head sets and ear phones to listen to our guide talk about Venice as we walked to the gondola ride. However, the group was so large, the people in the back (like us), could not hear her, as she was too far in the front and our “audio guides” kept going in and out. In between good and bad reception, we heard about gondola history and how to read the signs in the squares. We were then put in a line for our gondola ride. Our gondolier did not speak to us (maybe that cost more) but did yelled at all of the other gondoliers that we saw. We were in the boat for less than 20 minutes. This experience was suppose to last from 5:30-6:20. Much of that was checking in, finding the group and then walking to the actual loading point—not being in the boat. The “tour” was walking to the boats. At the end of the day, we can say we had a gondola ride in the canals of Venice, but we would not book this again. The guide was nice but I think most people that book this are looking for a lengthy gondola ride and this experience is not it.
