Our licensed guide, Tak, spoke good English and was very knowledgeable about the sites and cultural traditions around the city. In hindsight, we probably would have gone a different route for our tour and would not book this tour with Viator again. Our guide wasn’t particularly knowledgeable about the sights (or if he was, he didn’t offer to share any information like our other guides in Japan). Our guide also frequently wandered away from us (and we’d have to call him back, like for example if our group of 13 hadn’t made it through the turnstiles upstairs and he’d already boarded a train at the platform) and ate my mom’s food order when it was brought to her. We had a great time but that probably has more to do with being with old friends and exploring a new city together than this particular tour. In the future, I think we would check with our hotel for recommendations prior to arrival, or check with another guide company in Japan that we really enjoyed if they have recommendations. Separately, we booked a Shinjuku izakaya food tour through Viator and that was amazing, but wouldn’t do this one again.

Hiro was great. Good tour from Hiro. Very good food recommendations from him too. I ate only good food thanks to him helping our selection of foods and goods. We're leaving with our arms full.

Noriko was a fantastic guide through the crowded streets of Tokyo. She helped us get familiar with the public transportation system and we took buses, trains, and the subway. She showed us Tokyo Tower, Rainbow Bridge, Shibuya Crossing, SkyTree, Imperial Palace, Harajuku, yummy conveyor sushi and dropped us off at Team Labs Borderless. She was kind and patient and really made the day special. Was a great introduction to Tokyo!

Our guide Lily made our first day in Tokyo so much more enjoyable because she added so much insight into Japanese culture , etiquette, philosophy and the religious traditions of Shintoism and Buddhism that we otherwise would not have gotten . I highly recommend this tour primarily because of our guide Lily. We were jet lagged so we took only a half day 4 hour tour of the Tsukiiji fish market and the Asakusa shrine . She was very considerate of my daughter’s food allergy as my daughter began melting under the hot afternoon sun. She showed us her favorite foods and shared her love of cooking which endeared her to my son who is a big foodie and also a cook himself. I especially appreciated her sharing Japanese etiquette so we would not inadvertently do anything inappropriately. I came out of this with a better understanding of the Japanese culture and her people and thus highly recommend this tour!

We had a great walking tour of Tokyo and saw so many sights! Our tour guide was Noriko and she was so helpful and informative. She contacted us a week or two before our tour to get an idea of what we wanted to see and what our family is like. Then she set up an itinerary based on what we discussed. We are a family of four with two preteen/teen boys, so she incorporated some video game time for them. We saw so much more than I thought was possible! We walked a lot, so definitely bring comfy shoes for the tour. I would highly recommend this tour and our guide Noriko.

We had an amazing private 1/2 day walking tour of Tokyo with our guide Jimmy. He was extremely knowledgeable of Tokyo history & was very patient answering all of questions. We were able to see several interesting sites during our 1/2 day tour. My family really appreciated the care & attention Jimmy provided to us during the tour. It was wonderful & we highly recommend Japan Wonder Travel!

The views were amazing, and our guide, Hiro, was VERY knowledgeable! He helped us take so many photos together. Also, he took us down to a few hidden treasures that we would NEVER have found on our own, because you had to access these places through stairs inside of other stores.
