The Empire State Building is one of the most amazing skyscrapers ever built, and unquestionably one of New York City’s greatest and most revered attractions.
Designed by renowned architectural firm, Shreve, Lamb, and Harmon and built from 1930 to 1931, the Empire State Building has 102 floors and stands a total of 1454 feet when including its antenna. It is currently owned by the Empire State Realty Trust.
The Empire State Building has been recognized as one of the Seven Wonders Of The Modern World by the American Society Of Civil Engineers, and universally considered as one of the top architectural buildings by architects all over the world.
The building’s 86th and 102nd floor observation has been visited by 4 million tourists on an annual basis, and the building itself has prominently featured in numerous films and television series, most notably the 1933 film classic, “King Kong”
Due to its distinctive and pioneering architectural features, it’s prolific appearance in films and television series, and it’s immensely positive worldwide recognition, the Empire State Building is regarded as a New York City Landmark, listed on the U.S. National Register Of Historic Places and recognized as a U.S National Historic Landmark.
In April of 2024, I brought my wife and myself for a visit to the Empire State Building and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our experience there!!! We were an absolute awe of the sheer beauty and size of this magnificent structure and definitely loved the building’s Art Deco architectural design, especially the interior setting located at the Fifth Avenue lobby.
During our visit, my wife and I were able to explore the building’s gorgeous 86th Floor Observation Deck, and were able to see breathtaking views of New York’s City’s skyline. We were able to view and take great pictures of many of New York’s popular destinations ranging from the Chrysler Building, the One World Trade Center, the One Vanderbilt, the Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, the Edge & the Statue Of Liberty.
What also made our visit of the Empire State Building quite extraordinary was that we were able to view the Star Wars themed exhibit, which was located at the building’s observation decks. The exhibit featured spectacular Star Wars artistry, such as a beautiful mural of Luke Skywalker, and superbly designed scenes of Darth Maul, Darth Vader, & stormtroopers. Our personal favorite attractions were the six foot tall brick built recreations of Darth Maul & Darth Vader!!!
Both my wife and I would love to thank the staff at the Empire State Building for providing us with a wonderful experience!!! Visiting this incredible and iconic building will be a moment that we’ll cherish forever!!!

Was interesting to visit another iconic building in New York. It was relatively quiet when we arrived which was nice. Entrance was full of celebrity photos who had visited, and model statues of the building. Really modern and posh looking. Scanned the e-tickets to get in and off we went into the museum section of the building learning about the concept, construction, and grand opening. Some of the photos are heart-stopping, especially during construction with no safety equipment, they needed hearts of steel for it!
The views of the New York skyline were lovely from the top and it was nice that you were able to walk all 4 sides of the building for 360 views. Whilst it isn’t the tallest building in the area anymore, you can enjoy it as it was and how amazing it must have been to have been in the tallest spot of New York back when it was first built.
Only downside was trying to find the public entrance to get into the building. We were on the opposite side, so had to walk around the entire block to find the entrance. It isn’t very well signposted on the ‘wrong’ doors either.

No matter where you are in the world, I think it’s safe to assume you’ve seen the Empire State Building at least once. Personally, ever since I first saw it, I’ve been obsessed with it. It doesn’t get more New York City than this. For me it was a must see for sure! The inside of the building is insanely gorgeous. The elevators, the art, STUNNING. The gift shop will make you want everything. I’ll attach a pic of my favorite fridge magnets. The only thing that’s weird here, is NOT seeing the Empire State Building from the observation deck. 😆

Clear day with amazing views. It's just unfortunate to have to upgrade your ticket to get to top floor so we didn't go there. Staff were friendly and helpful. Picked up some cool souvenirs from shop.

So hard to find them. Terrible customer service. Beware. We walked all over trying to find them. Even other companies did not know where they were. There was no QR code to assist you. If you are not familiar with them DO NOT BOOK with them.
