Visit Washington, D.C. from Time Square NYC on a day trip, where we will visit some of the most emblematic Memorials and monuments of the District of Columbia. Starting at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia, The White House, Lincoln Memorial, The Capitol, FBI Building, The National Archives among other places. With plenty of free time to enjoy the National Air and Space Museum. With a guided bus tour, simply sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.

WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Arlington National Cemetery
Visit some of the most significant grave sites in Arlington National Cemetery. It's the perfect way to get a comprehensive overview of the remarkable site in just a few minutes. Mandatory to enter the National cemetery. ALL TRAVELERS MUST BRING PASSPORT. (ALL US) RESIDENTS MUST BRING STATE ID OR DRIVER LICENSE.
2. National Mall
The long, grassy National Mall is home to iconic monuments including the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument. At the eastern end is the domed U.S. Capitol, and the White House is to the north. It's also flanked by Smithsonian museums, and its lawns and pathways are often crowded with school groups, joggers and softball teams. Nearby, the Tidal Basin reservoir is known for its blossoming cherry trees. You will have some time on your won to have lunch.
3. U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial
Six soldiers holding the banner of the United States dedicated to the Marine Corps who died since 1775. Based on the photograph taken by Joe Rosenthal during the Battle of Iwo Jima.
4. Lincoln Memorial
Monument in the shape of a Greek temple dedicated to the 16th President of the United States.

Black granite wall where the names of the soldiers who lost their lives in the Vietnam War are engraved.
6. Korean War Veterans Memorial
19 stainless steel statues representing a patrol squad in the Korean War and a 50-meter polished granite wall with the engraved faces of soldiers and personnel who participated in the war.
7. White House
We will get as close as possible to take photos with the residence of the president of the United States.
8. U.S. Capitol
We will get as close as possible to the United States Congress headquarters to take pictures.

We will visit the main avenue of Washington and where the incoming President makes his tour after taking his oath. We will also find very important buildings such as the FBI, the Ministry of Commerce, the National Archives, the Canadian Embassy and more.

Knowledge in spades from the start at NYC throughout the journey and into Washington DC. So much information about all the memorials, how they came to be, dates, stats, those who died, reasons for their designs… too much to list. Such a great day. We travelled on the day trip to Washinton DC from New York with intertravel Nyc. The tour was conducted by Juanita whi was friendly and knowledgeable about the places. Would highly recommend the tour company. Central pickup and good air-conditioned coaches.
