I have been a local tour guide for many years here in Belfast, specializing in the troubles/conflict tours for major hotels and tour company's, therefore realize the importance of leaving the visitor with a greater understanding of what occured and the causes of the conflict/troubles in the North of Ireland.

The guy never turned up. We called him, left him voicemails, sms messages & called Viator. Not had any response nor a refund. Avoid this tour

James was simply awesome!
Felt like I was talking with my Irish uncle. He provided so much real information and perspective. Extremely attentive and answered every question myself, my wife, my son and my sister asked with respect , passion and patience. James made this tour a “must do” experience.

Never responded to my messages and never showed up to pick us up. Disputing the charge on my card with Viator. Ended up doing a Hop On Hop Off instead, worked.

Our driver Kevin picked us up from our hotel and drove us around for 90 mins during which we visited a number of important sites around Belfast. We considered ourselves fairly well informed and engaged with the situation in Northern Ireland, but the impact this tour had on us helped us to realise that no matter how well read you are on a subject, you need to witness it for yourself. The sight of security gates across residential areas was shocking to see and yet so many in the UK believe this is all in the past.
This is an illuminating tour delivered without judgement, but with passion and personal experience.
I would recommend to anyone who visits Belfast.

Could not recommend Jim enough! A gentleman & better then any history book. His knowledge and understanding of the troubles is second to none. I will be sure to book another tour with Jim when I’m next in Belfast!

We booked this trip last minute as we didn't plan what to do during our stay. The taxi arrived quite quickly and the driver introduced himself in a very friendly way.
The tour itself was interesting and our driver Joe S was very well informed and told the story in a very entertaining way. He had a lovely way abut him.
I would recommend this tour and would do it again in the future.
