Our tour guide met us on the plaza, and gave us a brief bit of information about the building. We followed her inside for the tour. The plaza outside the Duomo was packed with people, but we had no trouble getting in quickly. She was able to show us and explain about many points of interest. She was fantastic — I do wish I could remember her name.

The tour last 15 min instead of 30, bad English of the guide. Don’t suggest this tour, it is waste of money.

Booked last minute and our tour guide was great! She knew a lot of the history behind the city of Florence and the Duomo. Since getting into the Duomo is free there were long lines. This was a great way to skip the lines and learn history from a local.

We booked booked the tour through Headout. We will not book a tour via Headout, or with The Tour Guy again.
I booked the tour online with Headout on the morning of an afternoon tour. There were 5 spaces left. I got very quick confirmation of the booking via text, and the tickets were supposed to arrive by email within 30 minutes. We arrived at the meeting point 30 min before the tour, as required. I got an email just 15 min before the tour was due to start, telling me that the tour was sold out. We could rebook or get a refund. We changed our travel plans and rebooked, allowing more time for the tickets to arrive, which they did. However, the tour experience was not good. We were a small group and were not given an audio set, supposedly because it wasn't necessary - but the tour started late and it looked to us like the guy with the sets had not turned up. The group spent time at the start outside the Duomo and it was hard to hear the guide because of the general noise. The guide was ok, not but great, and didn't seem very interested in being there.

We booked 10.10am tickets and were pleasantly surprised that the group was only 4 people plus we entered the duomo about 20 minutes ahead of the general public. It was amazing. Our guide Christina was superb. Very knowledgeable and took her time to explain it all. Included is also entry to the Misericordia museum afterwards and were glad we went. From there you also have a great view of the duomo.

The tour was excellent. The tour guide had so much knowledge of Duomo and made tour memorable. Express tour skip the line is perfect and would highly recommend.

This tour was booked mainly for the skip the line aspect, however our tour guide was very lacking in both knowledge and enthusiasm. She didn't know the answer to any of our questions (which a future tour guide DID answer.) Also, one of our ladies was sitting down and she couldn't get to the guide fast enough to give her the headphone thing before the guide disappeared.
