The tour was very much advertised - an informative guide led tour of the Basilica and the Palace. There was a lot of good information shared and the tour was easy to find and moved at a good pace.
The Gondola Ride was just fine, it was interesting to ride in one for the experience but there was no explanation of what we were seeing just a twenty minute ride through a couple of canals and back to the start point. If the Gondola part was important to you I think this would be dissapointing.

Wonderful way to see some of Venice's highlights with helpful context from a local guide. A pre-arranged gondola ride eliminates haggling.

Wonderful tour, well paced and our guide was very helpful. This company did another tour of ours also and I would say they are of a high caliber compared to others.

My husband & I had to take a bus from Marghera to Venice. We left there about 8 AM, which we thought would be enough time to get there. However, due to heavy traffic, we got to the Piazza San Marco by 9:10 AM after much effort to get there on time. We tried to look for the Travel Guys tour group (as directed by Viator), but we couldn’t find them among the many people & groups in the Piazza. We eventually found 2 Travel Guys representatives at around 9:20, who told us we were too late to join them in the Cathedral, but we could join the group when they were exiting the Cathedral, at around 11:30 AM. As directed by the Tour Guys reps, we waited at the end of San Marco Cathedral where people were leaving, from 11:15- 12:15, but we couldn’t find them. We found 2-3 other groups from Travel Guy, & we went up to them to see if they were our group. These tour leaders were not friendly or helpful to us. They said their groups were already full, so their groups were not the one we were looking for. They told us to leave them alone, & did not make any effort to help us locate our group.
The Tour Guys representatives who told us to wait for our group to exit St. Marco's Cathedral never came back (as they said they would) to see if we were able to find our troup.
So in the end, we ended up waiting around for over 2 1/2 hours waiting & watching hundreds of people leaving St. Marco's Cathedral but we could not find our tour group. As a result, we had spent nearly $300 Euros for a tour that we were not able to attend at all. It was an extremely frustrating & disappointing experience. As a result, we would like to request some sort of credit that we could use on a future Viator tour at a different location. If Viator is not willing to consider this possibility, we will never take another Viator tour, & we will inform any friends of ours who are planning trips to Italy, to not sign up for any Viator tour.

We (family of 4, all adults) all thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the tour. Giovanna was very friendly and engaging and gave enough information without it becoming boring and shared some great stories with the small group tour. It was all very well organised and we had no issues at all.

Great tour. Roberta our Guide was excellent informative and entertaining. Sites were great. Gondola ride to finish was relaxing and fun. The actual tour company was great and Even Viator didn’t screw it up like they did in Rome when they rescheduled our tour and didn’t tell us and we had to fight for a refund

A short and easy way to fit as much into your Venice trip as as possible. Valentina was an excellent guide and we loved the experience, especially the gondola ride (we got one to ourselves: perfect!) The basilica did feel slightly rushed - we were in and out in about 5 minutes but it was extremely busy.

Our guide, Suzy, was full of passion and had an encyclopedic level knowledge about the history of Venice, the palace and basilica. The gondola ride was the perfect way to end the tour, with great views of the Grand Canal and the side canals through San Marco.

Very expensive for what it was. Guide was pleasant but the whole thing felt rushed. You have to share a gondola, so two people get good side the others do not.
