Elodie, our guide, must have had a bad day because I would not recommend this tour to anyone. Elodie's English was difficult to understand. We received little information about the city or the food we were tasting. The name of the tour is "the 10 tastings of Brussels." We received 8 tastings. When I pointed this out, she smiled and said, “one piece of chocolate is a tasting- I will add another piece of chocolate (the size of my thumbnail) and now you will have 9 tastings!” My husband and I had to share a plate for each tasting. We never received our own plate. Never has this happened to me on any tasting tour we went on in the past. We were given one glass of beer (as a tasting), 1 plastic bottle of water (no other fluids were offered with the tastings (we had to buy our own fluids)- and 1 waffle to share, 1 serving of frites to share, 1 meatball, etc.- we had to share each tasting! For 266 euros! That’s unheard of. I never had this type of stinginess on any other food tour I went on- and I’ve been on approx. 30 all over Europe. I went on this Brussels tasting tour to try food that is native to Brussels. One taste was falafel! Not right. I asked her, “why are we eating falafel?” She said it was because it was her favorite dish in college. Hmmm…. Also, when trying the frites she never asked what dipping sauce we would like- she simply gets the one she prefers and then went on to eat the leftovers. I asked her, “Why don’t we get to choose- why did you chose this sauce? “She says- it’s the one I like! Who is the food tour for? I thought it was for us, not the guide. She was hungry- we had to pay for her food too. Not even being given our own individual tastings, now 3 people are eating one tasting. Happened twice. I have never been on a food tour where the guide ate our food. With the falafel she never asked what we wanted on the side- she made 1 plate for us (of course to share) and her hand touched the food she brought to us. Not right. I have always enjoyed tasting tours and the guides but this one- I could never recommend in good conscious to anyone. It cost too much money for tiny tastings and false advertising- it didn’t seem to matter to her that we only got 8 tastings when the tour advertises 10.

We enjoyed our walking tour where we tasted Belgian frites (the Andalouse sauce was amazing!), snail soup (delicious!), an interesting charcuterie, beer (wine for some of us), waffles and, of course, chocolate. Esteph shared interesting information on the history and culture, and we saw some amazing architecture. As someone with a food restriction, we were able to work around it, although it did not seem like enough planning had been done ahead of time for that. We appreciated that Esteph made sure to provide suggestions for the rest of our trip. We enjoyed the market she suggested.

Elodie was a fantastic guide through Brussels. We took a day trip from Paris and this was a perfect way to see the city in a short time. We really enjoyed the food, the sights, and learning about the city. We highly recommend booking this trip with her!

Su, our tour guide, was wonderful! She is friendly and very knowledgable about the local foods and history of the city and country. She took us to some out-of-the-way places that we never would have found on our own. The tour was well thought out and Su is very enthusiastic about the country of Belgium. My wife, daughter and I all thought the tour was well worth it!

This was a great way for my family and I to spend our first day in Brussels. Our guide was friendly knowledgeable and took us to some great places. What more, even though this isn't a tour that specifically caters to kids she made sure our five-year-old had an enjoyable experience as well.

They cancelled on us with less than an hour and a half before the start of the tour. Our plans were based on this tour. Very unprofessional. I am not impressed.

We met our Brussels food and drink tour Su Calapiz and immediately felt very comfortable.

She took us to many restaurants, candy, bakeries and the oldest bar in Brussels, that turned out to be phenomenal.

We had some specifics about what we were looking for and Su was extremely accommodating and adjusted the pace and locations as necessary.

What additionally stood out was that we had some really great conversations as well, not just about the tour but able life in general.

We certainly and highly recommend Su for anyone looking for a superior food and drink tour of Brussels.

A real pleasure.

Thanks Su!

Perhaps you’ll be luckier than us, but we had maybe 1 hour 45 minutes with the guide before she had to go because of previous plans. We had 5 tastings, cooked cod, beer, Fries, bread and cheese and a candy sample. All of these things were in a small area of Brussels and ll of them we could have done on our own.
The day didn’t start well because the guide's instructions are to meet at the Brussels Comic Museum, in front of the Smurf statue, be aware that there are 2 of these- yes 2 Brussels comic museums and each has a Smurf statue. This caused a major delay in the start of our tour. My advice, start the tour somewhere else less ambiguous.

Bottom line, we had a very nice guide, but this was a way overpriced tour, 5 tastings not 10 (4 without the beer), save your money, get a map of the central Brussels area (all walking distances) near the Grand Palace, and spend maybe 40 Euros.
