A perfect day. Gustavo was both knowledgeable and charming with very good English and a great sense of humor. He readily adapted the day to our physical limitations, took us to a great place for lunch and kept us well informed.

Anselmo was charismatic, knowledgeable, and super friendly in taking us to the Duoro valley. He customized a trip for us based on our interests and was very engaging, especially with our two children. Highly recommend him for any tour

My mother and I truly enjoyed our tour of the Douro Valley with Anselmo. He is knowledgeable and friendly. The wine and views were also amazing. I hope to return someday!

We were 2 couples who joined Gustavo for the most spectacular trip through the Douro valley. Gustavo shared scenic landscapes through backroads and provided exclusive access to rural chic wineries. We stopped at a couple of vineyards where we sampled some incredible port wines in front of a breathtaking view of the Douro valley - where we would have gladly stayed the rest of the day.
On top of all that Gustavo took us for lunch at restaurant for some incredible local cuisine.
We would highly recommend this tour. Gustavo is knowledgeable and passionate and was flexible to accommodate any special requests.

My husband and I had the most spectacular Sunday in the Douro Valley with Anselmo as our guide.
He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible in catering to our likes and dislikes.
We chose to do a drive on a scenic route instead of the boat ride, and Anselmo showed us some of the best spots in the Douro Valley. We got some nice photos too!
He took us to two estates, I believe to be among the best in the Valley, and we got a personal tour as well as a taste of the best wines and port.
We would definitely recommend Anselmo as a guide. He made the whole experience very enjoyable!

Not everyone in our family was excited about an all day driving tour but were they glad the went! Gustavo is so knowledgeable and a pleasure to be with. We learned so much about Porto and Douro valley. Had the best meal of our entire trip with Gustavo and discovered new wines and local flavors. Not only would I recommend this tour but we cannot wait to return to Porto to have Gustavo show us more.

Orlando was a very entertaining guide... He not only showed us the classic view points but chose extra stops in tiny villages and bodegas... As well told us funny stories about portuguese culture. A full family day with a lot of fun, excitement and knowledge transfer!

Our party of four recently toured the Douro Valley through WithLocals jwith Anselmo as our guide and had a fabulous day! Anselmo was a perfect host and treated us like family and provided a fountain of knowledge about life in the Douro Valley and its marvelous wines. We visited the oldest port winery and had a beautiful boat trip on the Douro River. We also had a gourmet lunch with multiple wines and port at a high-end hotel and winery. Highly recommend this excursion!

Orlando provided us with a full day of touring and storytelling. We learned a lot from him and were inspired by his enthusiasm for his city of Porto and the Douro Valley. He was prompt and we especially appreciated the other unique and memorable stops along the way.

Anselmo was a bit surprised that we didn't know much about port wine, and that we booked him more because of our interest in the beautiful landscape of the Douro Valley. He explained to us everything about wine making during a tasting with a fantastic view of the scenic vineyards. Anselmo gave us time for taking pictures and stopped his car when we wanted it. We took the boat trip that we really enjoyed. The icing on the cake was the delicious lunch at a quinta. Highly recommended, thanks for the beautiful day.
