Although the day was rainy, we enjoyed both the Skyrail and the Scenic Railway. Our pickup point bus arrived on time and communication with the tour company was excellent. Everything was explained and easy to understand. Very organized. You could board and depart the Skyrail at you leisure and umbrellas were provided if needed at the stops along the way to Kuranda. Kuranda was what I expected. Lots of shops and the market area was a maze of small businesses/shops. They have points of interest—bird sanctuary, koala gardens you pay extra for admission or photos. The railroad provided a gold class coach (you were assigned car and seats and a light lunch was served consisting of cheese, crackers, dried fruit and a sun dried tomato basil feta spread along with mango sorbet and select drinks. I would recommend this tour for anyone wishing to visit Kuranda and do a little sightseeing and shopping.

Our experience on this tour was fun. Lucky for us, it was busy but not packed. We enjoyed our train ride in the Gold Class cabin, which really made a difference. By the time we made it to town, we were 2 glasses of wine in and snacks they feed us was good. We highly recommend upgrading to Gold Class

The Sky Rail provided a great birds’ eye view of the rainforest, and the stops allowed for exploring. Kuranda Village was rather quiet on a Monday with several market stalls closed. There really should be more info on market opening days/hours on the Viator website!
We enjoyed the Gold Class ride on the scenic train. Pls - can coffee be served in a proper cup/mug (not on waxed paper cup!) 🙏
