Our guide was great! It was a very hands on experience where you can walk with the dogs on your own and dig for truffles. The lunch was filling and delicious in a beautiful outdoor location overlooking San Gimignano. It included a wine tasting, oil tasting, and vinegar tasting.

Lucca and his 2 dogs were so much fun to learn about and experience truffle hunting in Tuscany. We found 7 black truffles on our adventure. Lucca also presented us with a gift of truffle s & quail eggs. Upon return to the winery we tasted 4 wines & 4 olive oils with bruschetta. meats, and pasta with truffles. Awesome views. What a way to start the day.

This was one of our favorite activities we’ve done during our trip to Italy! The dogs were on the scent (and very cute) and we found a total of ~15 truffles as a group! If you’re lucky, you’ll get Lexa as your truffle pup. The food was also great, along with wine and oils/vinegars. Definitely a must do!

Lucca was incredibly knowledgeable and provided a one of a kind experience with truffle hunting for these first time truffle hunters. We took my parents, in their 70s, and there was a fair amount of exploring in the woods and fields. We found multiple truffles with his cute and friendly truffle hunting dogs.
The lunch was delicious and wine pairing as well. The view couldn’t be beat.

The Truffle hunting experience was an experience we will never forget. Meeting Lexa our little truffle hunter and her trainer were spectacular. Just hearing about how the dogs are trained and then watch Lexa hunt…wow! Then to top everything off, to go back to the winery for wine tasting and a delicious truffle lunch made it even more special.

We visited in July 2023 for truffle hunting, followed by lunch with wine tasting. The first three courses featured truffles, as per our themed tour, and they were exquisite! Our hostess explained each wine in detail and brought out several others for tasting at the request of one of our party members. We were invited to purchase bottles of anything (including olive oil and balsamic) and have it shipped, but there was no sort of pressure, just cheerful assistance. We look forward to receiving our shipment and sharing with our family in the states.
The grounds were breathtaking. We cannot wait to visit again!

We went on our first trip to Italy and truffle hunting was on the bucket list. I booked the truffle hunting and lunch and was blown away by how fabulous the experience was. You never know how an experience is going to be when you book online and just have to take a leap of faith. The hunting was so much fun with Luca and his 2 dogs! He taught us a lot about truffles and was a pleasure to spend time with. And we (the dogs) found 12 truffles!!
We then went back to the farm and were escorted out onto the lawn overlooking the vineyard. It was something out of a dream or movie!! I was expecting a simple lunch with truffles. No. It was a multi course lunch, which was some of the most delicious food that we have ever had, with wine pairing. We talked about the lunch for the remainder of the trip! By the way, this is the longest review I have ever written! lol

This is the second time my husband and I came to La Marronaia for wine tasting. We love their wine and especially the sparkling rose Quartzo! This visit we decided to do the Truffle Hunting and Cooking Class Lunch. It was beyond our expectations! Luca our truffle guide and his hunting dog Alexa went to work and found 5 truffles right out of the gate. Incredible! Afterwards we went back to the vineyard and got straight to our cooking class with Chef Eileen. She was wonderful! We made bruschetta topped with shaved truffles, speck wrapped pork tenderloin and tagliatelli from scratch with truffle butter and of course shaved truffles to top it off. We were then whisked away to the dining room to eat our lunch and wine tasting. Victoria, the family and the dogs certainly aim to please!!! This is as authentic as it gets!!!
