The tour stops first in the town of Corleone, near Palermo, known for being a Mafia town and the birthplace of Toto Riina. The tour will start from your accommodation. In Corleone you will visit the very interesting mafia museum with a multilingual guide, then the antimafia that stands on an old monastery. Your guide will take you on an exciting journey of stories and anecdotes that will not leave you indifferent.
From Corleone we will move on to the village of Piana degli Albanesi, a beautiful location and its famous lake, trails and nature.
Here we will also taste the famous cannolo di Piana, certainly the best in all of Sicily.
The tour will start at 09:00 from your accommodation and will end at about 14:00. Always wear comfortable clothes and shoes suitable for walking

Rating: 3/5 ONLY due to the price tag of this tour. The price tag of $255 is WAY too much for what you get, which is a tour of the Mafia Museum (which you have to buy your own ticket - it was very inexpensive (< $10 per person) - and this tour comes with it's own guide - so the guide Viator contracts for is not your guide person for this. This was the primary thing we were interested in with this tour. It was ~45-minute to 1-hour rive away from Palermo, but, I cannot believe we are paying this price tag for the transportation.
This tour does include a stop oat Albanesi Village - and includes a magnificent canoli to eat.
Our personal tour guide (visiting us and one other couple on our tour) was Salvatore Caravello, a registered Italian tour guide. He was EXCELLENT! Very personable, and will try to tailor the tour to the things you're most interested in.

I raised the issue of cost of this excursion with Viator before doing it. They did agree to pay for a very nice lunch to be included (despite this not being offered in the billing of this excursion). But, even with this said, an ~ $30 per person lunch (MAX) and 1 canoli per person should not cost $255 per person. In my opinion, this tour may be a value of ~ $100-125 each).

We visited Corleone because our family's history is here. The guide Barbara was terrific. We learned so much about the distructive diviet mindset of the mafia criminals from local guides within the musesm.
