1. Siena
Siena is one of the most popular and visited places in Tuscany. It is known throughout Italy for its distinguished medieval architecture. Upon arrival, explore its rich history and art, through its notable local monuments such as the famous seashell-shaped Piazza del Campo and the outstanding Siena Cathedral. Many local shops fill the historic streets of Siena, a great opportunity for you to taste local food or buy some gifts!
2. Duomo di Siena
The Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta is the main location of Catholic worship in Tuscany, and the diocese of Siena. The building is located in the square of the same name in the center of the city. Built in Italian Gothic style, it is one of the most significant and spectacular churches built in Italy.
3. Piazza del Campo
Piazza del Campo (or simply, il Campo) is the main square of the city of Siena. Unique for its particular and original seashell shape, it is renowned all over the world for its beauty and architectural integrity, as well as for being the place where the Palio di Siena takes place twice a year.
4. Monteriggioni
Make a lovely stop in the small, fortified village, which is still surrounded by its original medieval walls. Located not far from Siena, Monteriggioni is a great spot for a short walk after lunch at one of the local restaurants.
5. SS 222 Chiantigiana
The SS222 road, better known as Chiantigiana, is one of the most beautiful roads in Italy. It passes along the entire Chianti region, from Florence to Siena. Driving on it is a great way to discover the area. You will take this scenic road going north, starting from Siena and reaching Castellina in Chianti. The area is rich with castles and villages. One example is the Castle of Fonterutoli, where you will stop to admire the small medieval village surrounded by endless vineyards, centuries-old woods, and green hills.
6. Marronaia Wine Garden
*OPTIONAL lunch at the Farm or Winery. Have lunch in a wonderful organic farm. While the owner will show you around the property, his wife will prepare a delicious and unforgettable lunch for your private group. The owner will show you to his cellar to admire his Super Tuscans and Chianti Classico wines -Craft Wine- and to the nearby Acetaia, a vinegar cellar, with old vinegar. Afterwards, experience a unique dining setting while taking in an amazing Tuscan panorama. You will taste organic specialties, such as the typical Lasagna with traditional sauces, crostini, local meats and cold cuts, legumes, seasonal vegetables, honey, and cheeses seasoned with an incredible aged balsamic vinegar. Wine will accompany this lunch every step of the way. Each of the four main courses and desserts will be paired with a different and distinctive glass of wine. We will conclude with ice cream and balsamic vinegar or other desserts.
7. San Gimignano
The beautiful stronghold of San Gimignano is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Tuscany. San Gimignano is a treasure of medieval architecture, frozen in time at 1300 AD. Above all, it is famous for its ancient towers, which still stand out from its skyline, earning it the nickname Manhattan of the Middle Ages. Don't forget to stop by the famous Dondoli ice cream shop, winner of many awards for the best ice cream in the world. This is the last destination of the day, before returning to Florence.

On request 24 hrs before) (This option will slightly reduce your time to visit the cities of Siena and San Gimignano, and will exclude the possibility to visit the fortress of Monteriggioni).

Our day with Alessandro was the highlight of our trip! Alessandro communicated clearly from booking to drop off. He was prompt and our day with him was comfortable and informative. Everything was considered and convenient from drop off points, recommendations and flexibility. The Tuscan countryside is breathtaking and we enjoyed each stop. We will definitely book another day with Alessandro for another countryside adventure when we return. An addition highlight was his recommendation for Pizza in Florence and it was the best of our trip. Highly recommend this day with Alessandro!

Alessandro was an amazing tour guide. He put together a custom trip for myself and wife to visit some of the wineries in the Chianti region and it delivered on all our expectations!

Taking us into the country side, we stopped by a few small villages devoid of tourists mobs to try some local produce, and then swung by a few beautiful village/castles still in use. Alessandro was full of knowledge about these places and was very open to answering any questions we had.

The first winery we stopped at was a very small rustic family winery where the owner did the tour and tasting, a very colourful and entertaining character.
The second was small also by slightly larger which offered a three course lunch with a tasting following a tour of their cellars. It too had excellence service and entertaining and engaging staff.

We arrived home truly satisfied with the best day of our trip yet (plus a few extra local secret spot in florence) and a new friend in Alessandro!

Amazing experience. Thoroughly recommend!

Alessandro is an expert! He is full of knowledge and provided all the information we needed about the places without us asking him.
His vehicle is clean and comfortable and he is a good driver.

We had a great tour to the Tuscan province and enjoyed ourselves. It was totally worthwhile.

I highly recommend using his tour services and go for the private tour if you are in a group.

I would also recommend the Marronaia Farm for lunch. It was a beautiful experience for the family. Wine and dine with different types of house wine in the vineyard and olive plantation.

Alessandro is outstanding. His drives safely and corteously, while educating us thoroughly about the towns and countryside of Tuscany. We learned much about he wine and food culture, as well.as the history of the area. His enthusiasm is contagious! Lunch at Ristorante da Remo (in Monteriggio) was delicious. Siena is a must, especially the Gothic details of the Cathedral.

From the first time I found Alessandro online when searching for an alternative to a large bus tour . Unique Tuscany Tours , was responsive and professional as he was throughout our day trip today through Tuscany .

The four of us , including two adult teenagers had a tremendous time . I was personally impressed with his knowledge and passion of Florence and Tuscany region .

For the trip . We were picked up on time , onto a Mercedes large comfortable van with spacious seating . I sat in front because I tend to get car sick so he was very obliging. Ac was terrific and the car rides very comfortable which made a big difference in our overall experience.

Our stops were fun and interesting . The organic winery along with the lunch was very delicious and I highly recommend. They made a specially prepared meal for my daughter because of her food allergies. Which we appreciated .

I strongly recommend this trip because it’s more private and personalized than a large group tour . Very comfortable ride and perfect customer service.

I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS TOUR ENOUGH!!! Alessandro is an absolute pro, and made this experience one of the highlights of my honeymoon. Any person that ever tells me they are visiting Tuscany/Florence from here on out, I will INSIST they spend a day taking a tour through UNIQUE TUSCANY. 1. Every tour is customizable, so while Alessandro will make wonderful suggestions, he is great about making sure he can accommodate specific requests. 2. I cannot get over his vast breadth of knowledge, and how generously he shares it. We learned so much about each sight we visited, interesting facts about everything we drove past, history about Florence + Tuscany, about how different wine and olive oil producers make their products - there was nothing we asked about that he didn't have thorough answers to. 3. His passion and love for Florence and Tuscany is infectious. 4. He made wonderful recommendations for every category of activity we were interested in. 5. He makes the entire day seamless, as you are dropped off and picked up at the most convenient spots. He made it so that you never had to double back anywhere to meet back up with him - you can truly make the most of your time in each location you visit. I urge you to book through this company.
